Come on guys share your sources or do i have to spend mega dollars postage and import rip off pounds to get a set?
going to make a press out of a g clamp if i ever get the tools

Save yourself the hassel and order from Pin restore. You will get the right stuff and if you are going for the Dye's to then they also sell them.
Its good quality gear and i have not yet come across anywhere this side that sells the stuff.
D.

There are a few uk options on an Arbor press which would need adapting, one was local to me which would reduce shipping price and for a 1/2 ton one it was around £40.
Here is another which looks suitable: http://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/product/details/clarke-ap500b-1-2-ton-arbor-press
That press would require the rivet press kit from here: http://www.pinrestore.com/Riveting.html to make it do what we want.
As all this was working out as not so cheap, would take up a lot of space and I wasn't sure if I had the tools to adapt it, I decided to buy things with the rivets already done until I could look at it again.

I bought a snap rivet kit and so far have only used to to repair some jeans, those rivets do not look good enough for my pinball machines.

Not good enough for pinball but ok for my jeans lol

im guessing im going to have to spend some dollars anyone want to get in on a bulk buy? 2 rivet tools and 120 assorted rivets (i think it was)

Is there no other spares or parts u need that you could order at the same time to keep costs down? Or if there's other members that need stuff they could add to your order? I would if I had a machine yet lol

What do these rivets look like? We use a couple diff ones at work aluminium solid ones and black oxy hollow brass ones. Send me a pic I might b able to borrow some

I have been in discussions with a lady from challenge-indfast regarding buying a bulk buy of rivets. They could get us some which is a challenge in this country.
Anyhow for 600 rivets of 6 different sizes £540

How many peeps just fell off there chairs??

That works out @ £0.90p a rivet!!!!!!!

No wonder this country has gone to the dogs. :faint2:

That is a staggering amount of money for something which is not exactly a new technology nor rare.
For that price, we should fly over to the USA and buy some and mule them back for a tidy profit.
