Retro refurbs anyone else having delivery/contact issues?

Evening all not usually one to post issues, I know Peteb no longer heads up the site he was a legend, never had any issues always been fantastic, ordered a DMD skin on the 4th may still not arrived, sent 4 friendly messages to see if there was an issue delay etc no response at all from any messages, wondering if anyone else had issues or had contact before I go credit card claim route, I don't mind waiting if I knew it was on it ways etc

I know a few others have recently had issues with them, due to the printer being down.

To be honest, when I originally bought a set of art blades from them late last year, I had the exact same problem. Slow in the replying and it took ages which I was also told was due to the printer being down. 🤔

@s000m got a refund recently from them due to the delays.
 
I ended up scrapping my order after 6 weeks and 2-3 weeks with no response. Went with Xianek, who I believe you've used and also has issues with long wait times!

TBH I've had this a lot from suppliers, communications just aren't good enough.

Was in a client presentation yesterday and what he said I 100% agree with.

'Everyone you deal with in business will let you down at one point but it's HOW they deal with the situation when it arises that truly matters.'

Exactly, and radio silence is deafening!
 
Not sure what could have happened here but when I was running things we always went the extra mile to rectify problems, which only happened occasionally. Yes there are delays with every print-on-demand supplier because none of them stock products and their orders have to be made in batches usually once a week otherwise it's not viable, but a delay of that long could suggest replacement parts for the Durst printers is an issue. Supply chain problems?

Anyway, before I left after the hand over there was talk about pulling out of the UK market completely due to it being less than 1% of annual sales. Just go with another supplier.

Received a courier notification for my order from June 6th.

That's good news then. I dropped them a text after reading this thread, and they said they had been let down twice waiting on parts but everything was sorted now. Inundated with hundreds of emails, refunds being given to anyone who requests one, but otherwise orders are being sent.

Both + Australia, Brazil and some of the other South American countries. Huge markets. UK is completely insignificant.

I was going to get the gz side blades. Probably won't now.

Looks like everything is fine.
 
Just to say I placed an order for 5 sets of side blades and received them maybe 3 weeks later, totally happy with the quality and timescale. This was a few months ago so hopefully they can sort out their issues and keep on keeping on.
 
Yeah as I say its likely just part shortages and long lead times on finding replacement parts.

These things happen I just think they could have handled it a lot better.

I still like their stuff and will likely order again in the future but I'll be asking for lead times in advance :D
