A comedy in the 6.30 pm slot this week dragged our hobby into it, as a character planned to solve his debt problems by presuming to win the 'world pinball championship', first prize £10,000, conveniently being held at a local arcade. The arcade owner, in a stock 'thick heavy' voice, unveiled the machine being used, the only example of the 'Are You Being Served?' pinball. As usual with such depictions, electro-mechanical chimes and kiddies toy electronic effects comprised the audio, though needless to say speech consisted of 'ooh, my pussy', albeit sounding like the same voice used for the arcade owner.
Generally it's best nowadays not to answer unknown incoming numbers, but not having a life or a phone with the display working I sometimes do. My greeting is always the same, "who is it?" in an exaggerated way that if I get it right can be mistaken for a woman speaking (I lifted the intonation from a favourite film where a daft young woman asks this). If there's no reaction, quite likely because there's no one there, I add "speak up, scammer, you're through" (in more ways than one).
As to how this relates to P/B Info, the other day I thought of another phrase, which I'm surprised didn't come to me before. Courtesy of the popular favourite, Fish Tales - "Are you gonna talk, or are you gonna phish?"
edited to insert the all-important question mark, and tidy up the text
