9 times out of 10 chips on Ali express will be solder pulls and or fake. I've given up trying i've had to file so many disputes for fake chips.
I only buy from traceable sources now (Farnell, RS, CPC, Digikey etc)

I have heard that Luke, trouble is likes of CPC and RS don't do as much of the older TTL stuff

HCT (not HC) often works in place of old TTL and I've found I can get most stuff I need from the big companies listed above.

There are a few commercial sellers on ebay that have new old stock chips (again avoid china sellers)

I have so many fake re-painted 6821's from so many different sellers that all claimed they were new and genuine, seriously avoid the Chinese sellers unless they are a legit commercial outlet

I have a tester here that IF i am FORCED to order from china will check operation against original specs. Cant get any closer than that in the rarest of cases.

The problem is, RS are woefull nowadays, CPC/Farnell are marginally better IMO. I have to go to the major US distros (Mouser/Arrow/Digikey) and even then it's a case of orders from multiple companies to be able to fulfill a BOM.
