I've been awaiting a reply to a PM all day. Nothing. No notifications like the old website. I've shrugged it off all day thinking it hasn't been read or replied to.

At 19:45pm, I decide just to check that I did actually send a message and there is one in my inbox. The envelope icon is open as if it's already been read?

Who is spying on me?

Or am I misunderstanding the whole concept?

Oh, I've just been checking again and I think the icons are the wrong way around. An open envelope indicates an unread message and a closed envelope means a message has been read. Strange....

I think you might have to go into your settings and change it to notify when a message is received. Mine was defaulted to not notify by email! I haven't actually sent or received a pm yet so not sure if it works or not.

Notification does have to be turned on, General Settings is the place for most of these things: http://www.pinballinfo.com/forum/profile.php?do=editoptions

And yes, the icons are not straight forward, though the unread has a colour whilst the read is grey. I can't say all the changes make any sense, hopefully we will get use to them soon.
