Can't play at the moment as the in-laws are around. So I've been thinking about what will happen when they go. Here's my 10 predictions for events in 2014

1) Metallica code finally gets one step closer to being finished. The ****ing mystery award is finally a mystery. As a result it gets a better reputation
2) WOZ code finally makes it to the end stage
3) Both JJP and Stern hike prices again
4) MMremake slips from Spring to a Dec release (at best)
5) JJP releases 10 "prototype" Hobbit machines in Dec to satisfy their contract and announces a six month delay for the others
6) Stern take a bath on their Mustang pin outside of the US
7) The price of 2nd hand pins starts to even out with the top titles getting cheaper but sadly less sub 1k games being available
8) Wez buys (and sells) another Fish Tales
9) Stern announce their first machine with an LCD due to pressure from OPs
10) THE MMr remake people announce plans for AFM or BBB

Anyone else care to look into the crystal ball?

I will buy a game and it will be the best game ever. - 2 days later it will not.

Repeat the above a few times and that will be my 2014.

Oh and:

  • GrizZ will sell STTNG to make way for something else.
  • Dan will post some boobies gifs.
  • GrizZ will remove the boobies gifs.
  • Steve will make another game clean enough to eat his dinner off it.

I predict I will add a 6th machine to my gamesroom and have to turn the door around to open outwards :D

all good calls John. here's mine:

- dates will slip for MMR, Full Throttle and The Hobbit
- nothing will continue to be heard from Captain Nemo, Whoa Nellie, Zombies, Muppets, or Godzilla
- Ford Mustang will surprise many by being ok, Predator will surprise none by scoring a massive hit, Stern will release 3 titles in 2014, of which 1 ace 1 ok 1 ****
- pinball will continue to enjoy a resurgence, including BBC showing a pinball documentary (their own, not one of the old good ones like SWL or Tilt) ..... it will be about to have no impact, however the situation will be rescued at the last second by the show being video-edited by our own Martin Ayub and Mike Parkins, both seasoned UK players, who will cleverly hack the show into being played at primetime on a Tuesday. the next day, The Sun will feature a double page spread of Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, David Beckham and Francis Rossi all playing pinball: the next day it explodes again and we are back in 1997

The one game I would be interested in being remade is BBB.
Like that's going to happen, right.

Please let it happen, please let it happen, please let it happen, please let it happen, please let it happen, please let it happen, please let it happen.please let it happen,

How many times do you need to say it before it happens ?

I want BBB, I love green jelly, think CC may make it on to PP's remake hit list, I predict that I will still be here talking **** in 2014

think CC may make it on to PP's remake hit list

If they're going to do that then they need to use the CC Continued ruleset in it. But I still think they'd be better off doing remakes on more popular stuff.....if there were as many CC as there are MM's do you still think it would be held in such high regard? It's a good game but I think the fact that it's rare is why loads of people want it, not because it's amazing IMO :)

What about the dude pinball. Only 4 days left to find out if hoax or not.
Could be a killer if it's true.

Mustang is Trudeau so IF<they let him be his wacky self it should be good

time will tell, just doubt there will be many over here

Who would make it?, I take it PP do not have the License as it's not a B/W, don't suppose the guys that did the ltd run remake want to produce any more? would be awesome, put my name on the list.

Gene from IPB still holds the licence

I think much will remain the same -

Stern will randomly release code(possibly),but have little communication with their customers cos.......

people will still buy games before they are reasonably complete.

Highwayman will get some Full Throttles made

Our UK shows - Slam, NLP, NErg, Swavesey will continue to kick ass

The leagues will remain very busy

New stuff - another remake will be announced before the MM's are finished;)

Another game will get another LE released

Oh and I wont be buying another prelease Stern ever again.Even if they do a Ramones one
