Could anyone give me any advice on where I could get powder coating done for my pinball machines including how much roughly I should expect to pay, I’ve tried looking around but can’t seem to find much information.

Thanks for any advice

Mark

About £70 for legs ,lock down bar, coin door and rails , any powder coaters can do the job, if you say where you are people can recommend. Potteries Powder Coaters in Stoke for me.
Thanks for the info, I’m in Northern Ireland and have contacted a few places who seem less than interested.

I've no idea on prices but £70 doesn't seem a lot of money for labour, overheads and powder coat. Doesn't seem like much profit in it for them so maybe that's why some places are less interested.

Anyone advertising on local Facebook groups? perhaps someone who recently started and will be happy to take on smaller bits.

I payed £60 for lockdown bar and side rails last year.

Thanks for the reply’s, I will definitely try some Facebook groups as suggested, I don’t mind paying for a good job, the questions I asked

Could you powder coat these items in a colour of my choice and a rough price for doing so, I sent photos of the items but never get reply’s, I’m not really one for asking a lot of questions, that’s my wife’s job 😂

Place up beside Lamon, ill remember the name in a bit. Edit Rustbusters NI

Myself and Keith have used them a few times, not the fastest (they fit it in between jobs to keep costs down)but are usually sub £100 for legs, side rails and hinges. they remove old paint and gunk by sandblasting first also.

there is also Powdertek down in Dargan that are supposed to be good but ive never used them..

and as suggested above, best taking the bits (or a sample, eg leg) to them and chatting with them. That rustbusters place is an old barn like building with a portacabin building as their office. they are on the Glen road near comber/ la Mon hotel.

Hi Ian

Thanks for that, Powdertek was one of the ones I contacted but didn’t reply but I will definitely give that Rustbusters place a try, sub £100 sounds reasonable to me, I should have known that you would know where to go 😊

I use a local powder coated in Southampton and they only charge £4 per item sandblasted / powder coated in satin black, ie: 4 legs £16, dropped off 16 last week so £64 the lot 👍

I will be looking for it done with a metallic finish so I assume I will have to pay a goo bit more.

Bloody hell, you guys are getting good prices! Am I paying the ‘Southern tax’ here in Essex!

I do use Prasmatic colours and a clear lacquer, but for the legs and amour, no coin door, I am around the £180 mark.

Last time, I did used a company that uses Cerakote, which is a powder coat that doesn’t scratch. The other advantage is this stuff goes on thin, so they can coat threads and bolts, with no issues. That was £80 for 4 legs, cash. That came up very nice.
