Wanted POTC disc protector

Cleaning up my POTC.

Managed to source Tortuga disc decal put no luck with the protector.

Multiple balls spinning in there has worn the old one down and seems daft fitting new one without a protector.

I can get one abroad but then it's the old duty, shipping etc.

Can anyone help?

Is mylar not an option?

Must admit I didn't think of mylar... just a bit hesitant on that stuff.
I've never had any on my machines and reading all this freezing and peeling to remove stuff has put me off. Though through ignorance rather than any experience with it.
Tortuga wear apparently is very common (machine is new to me) so thought I'd be dealing with the problem again in the future.
Thought replacing protector plastic would be easier than tackling mylar removal for first time...
Dunno tho, thoughts?

Like Carl has said Mylar will sort it for you.
