i'd love to see a return to non-licensed themes that explored wider ideas than just the latest flavour of the month, maybe something with a bit of sci-fi or even a celebration of something phenomenal, like glaciers, volcanos, inside the atom, under the sea, out in space.......

i'm a bit bored, so i'll start with a couple:

ZOMBIES (ok, i know that JPop is doing one, but we'll never see it)

shoot ramps and loops to eat the townfolk, stagger about, and decompose with attitude.

wizard mode: brains!

JESUS

objective: visit Bethlehem, ride Judas' chariot, wear the shroud, and finally return from the dead

modes: last supper, oily feet, fish sandwich, zombie lazarus, can't take no myrrh

wizard mode: go back in time and ride a dinosaur to Atlantis

no offence is intended

Bahahaha! That's my first NIB purchase for sure.

Snooker.

The flippers can only be used once every two minutes. No background music, just the occasional cough. Multiplayer games are spread over an entire weekend.

Can't believe it hasn't already been done.

Smut.

You can't go wrong with a pair of ***'s and a pair of leg's that go on forever.

You could have a feature that every time you completed one part of it a stunning babe took one item of clothing off. Yeh. now we are talking the best use for a lcd screen on a pinball.

D.

before i posted, i deleted another idea i had for a pinball machine called PORNO, which had targets like Fluffer, Dirty Sanchez and Teabag, and which, i was gonna suggest, could have a pink pinball that turned purple for jackpot shots (called Orgasm shots), pop bumpers like boobs, great sound effects........... i had ideas about names for the ramps and various modes, even a hidden tubgirl/lemonparty videomode, it's sad really how easily i could create this pin in about 30 seconds flat.......

i need to get out more

Dan, there are no clothes on those dogs in your avatar and it looks like there is some fellatio going on. Please stop lowering the tone of this site.

Great idea for a Porno pinball but I can't imagine some problems with problems with keeping it clean. Plus I can imagine a lot of frustration when people can get the shots leading to increased premature draining. I would also be worried about what representation you would show for multiball.

Edited: Because I can't spell right today.

Love it!

The next in the series would have to be a Cricket theme then. You can play the 5 day realtime mode where you may end up with a draw, which resets your score to zero:D

Theme has to be Bladerunner for me, made today though, would not want it looking like Back to the Future or something from that era, a modern day attempt at this license would be a killer, love everything about the movie (awesome beyond words and light years ahead of it's time), esp the lighting and visions of the future, maybe this could be captured in the artwork and lighting (2 x slow turning fans mounted into the backboard with the flickering light behind), rule set would obviously be tracking down each replicant and escaping with the girl.......back in two minutes just off on the blower to Jersey Jack

Forgot to mention all that cool music Vangelis made for the soundtrack, never get bored of hearing that, anyone one of you DC owners bored of hearing Hells Bells yet?

I nominated Bladerunner years ago on rec.games.pinball

Perfect theme, I cannot believe it never got made.

I am surprised that a Peanuts pinball never got made too.

The clue is in the title, "original theme". Come on guys stick to the thread.

Have any of you seen Blade Runner recently ? I loved this film back in the day and thought it was brilliant , that is until I watched it a couple of weeks ago, and to be honest I could not see why I thought it was the best thing since sliced bread. Funny that, but there you go.

Would love to see a Sex Pistols game. The Great Rock And Roll Swindle. The artwork could be awesome.

Oddly enough I watched it again for the first time in a decade ,the Directors Cut or whatever its called, a few weeks ago .....and have to say whilst it has its moments...and I do like it, I actually got pretty bored ...also think the music just sounds horribly dated

I think 'A Scanner Darkly' is the best Philip K Dick big screen adaptation.

Has 'Flow My Tears The Policeman Said' ever been filmed ?

Seen Prometheus recently, Bladerunner rocks the socks off it, just goes to show that a well crafted piece of work will stand it's ground indefinitely

OK............original theme:

Cat food, lots of different cat food tins to shoot for on the pf (Whiskas 100 points, Kattomeat 200 points etc), mode complete you get to shoot for a fish skeleton bathing in a bowl of milk, a whopping 500 points, DMD video mode: you dig a hole in the neighbours garden and crap in it without getting caught, that's what my neighbours cat does ...............one of these days I'll catch it red handed.

Never said it was going to be fun to play or any good..................just original;)

Bad Cats isn't far off that

Kula World, a rare game I used to play on the PS1, started off easy and got insanely difficult, it was highly addictive and very original in it's own way, never saw anything quite like it esp the harder levels, a pin on a similar theme would be original + the ball is already a tie, suppose stuff like the mini pf on IJ and similar mechanisms could be incorporated along with a video mode similar to Kula world itself esp now that DMD tech seems to be advancing.

Easy entry level

Tough level against the clock

The thing I like about pinball is accurately shooting a solid metal ball at things. We all like it when stuff gets hit and hit hard, some of us like to watch things blow up and get smashed but not smashed when it is our pinball machines. But what if we can combine the two??

With modern technology, sound effects and moving objects, I think we can make a pinball machine that lets the user smash stuff up, obviously they get points for the destruction and it rebuilds itself when their turn ends. I am hoping for something a little more realistic than the Medieval Madness castle which is frankly silly.

Propane flames can add some extra dimensions to this but simple demolition is the aim of the game. We can call it Demolition man... Bugger!
