I'm central midlands based and looking to take on a 2nd pin. I'm coming towards the completion (if there is such a thing 😄) of the restoration of my williams Flash and have cleared some space in my EM fruit machine collection to accommodate another pinball. I'm not afraid of a challenge and would ideally like something none EM from after 80s /90s and a project that atleast stands a chance given the time rather than costing more than something already done. Happy to work around options to suit (budget will depend on current condition) anything needing to be cleared. Not looking for the obvious top titles due to costs but something that plays well and a good game play. I'm not a dealer and only have my machine for home use. A project to keep me busy and enjoy completing / saving. Thanks.

Hello Dan,
And welcome, it's quite a vast period in pinball production, you might be better giving an indication of budget and a couple of possible titles so that others may chip in/ possibly offer things?

Thanks @Tony appreciate that but there might titles I'm not familiar with but basically I'm looking for something developed further on from Flash possibly with ramps. I do like games such as Victory and the other obviously popular titles. Happy to consider posting a budget but that has its own issues due to value vs condition and not in a rush. I'd rather have a discussion for the right machine and not just get the budget filled with the first one offered. Around £1k to start I suppose but...👍

Following, more with interest, rather than any useful opinion.

Every arcade cab (and now pinball table), I've bought as a proper project. A) it keeps the costs down, but also (and probably more importantly for me) is B) it means I get to strip it back, fix it, and learn loads about the machine whilst doing it.

So, back to OP and your 1k budget. Even with the price slump, as said by @AlanJ your budget is realistically low for the toys you want. Unless, you are really prepared to purchase an unplayable wreck that is going to need at lot of work (and subsequent money).

Are you happy with this level of work? Woodwork, electronics, pcb stuff, soldering, playfield/cabinet resto, etc.

If not, then you may still find it, but it's a table you are going to have to seek out, and find the bargain that no one else has found yet.

I got a Kings of Steel on here recently for just sub 1k. Needed work, but it has no ramps or toys that you speak of.

Keen to see how you get on and of course hope you find what you are looking for.

£1k is going to get you something similar era to your flash, unlikely to get anything with ramps apart from the early bally or williams SS games,
Yes that's fine and for anything worthy then could possibly squeeze a bit more. As we all know it's a balance of gaining a benefit for doing the work vs parts etc. It is for me to keep so not to profit. However not looking to end up with it costing more than it's worth when complete. 👍
