apparently its an non-exclusive exclusive for pinball magazine...

Hi Guys,

We were contracted by Porsche to build some promotional pinball machines to help them promote their new Taycan electric car. These machines will not be available for sale to the public and, interestingly, my inbox has been flooded with requests to buy one from many different countries.

The playfield layout and all artwork was supplied by Porsche and Homepin had no say or input for design and art at all. I personally made it very clear to their advertising agency that the cabinets, playfield & plastics should have a lot more colour but they held fast to their design.

There are some of our new inovations built in such as opto rollovers that are controlled by a special circuit to prevent false triggering from ambient light and also the spinner is using a hall effect device to allow it to spin freely without a micro slowing it down. There are several other small innovations that we will use in all new machines moving forward.

I'm unsure why all the hate directed at Homepin and myself? I would have thought any new promotion of pinball could only be a good thing but there you go, what would I know.

I’m surprised the roll over ir has not been done before be interesting to see how reliable it is. No more broken switches!

We had a similar thing at work where a client wanted a branded football team slot but the deal was they supplied the artwork. It was the most ugly thing on the planet id refuse to put my name on it my self l. But it pays the bills and they will promote the **** out of it so Emotion aside it’s a good move.

Hateful comments on a pinside pinballinfo topic? Not a shock anymore.

are you joking? Since you started spamming the forum with sales posts on almost every thread AND are working with a supplier who ripped off the community?!

Neil, you started digging me out way before the Pinball Brothers thing, so whilst that may fit your persona now of why your being an ass, most will know that it's just a front for some other issue. I wouldn't want to guess what that issue is, so I tried to call you to have it out with you. You didn't answer your phone. I think I reply to people asking for products we supply. Spamming? Not really.

Whatever your issue is Neil, I suggest you build a bridge to get over it - becuase I am sure I am not alone in thinking your coming off as a spoilt, would be bully. Something that's been levied at you more than once in your past. Maybe try and focus on all of the good things that your "wealth and influence" can bring to the community, instead of using it to take someone down who's trying to make some extra money offering a service that wasn't in the UK before. Eh?

Again, you should have my number, if you don't, I still have yours. Rather than hiding behind some keys, more than happy to discuss it over the phone.

James,
Are you or are you not working with the Pinball Brothers? A known organisation that has ripped off the community?

and then you block people (although not me) from buying from the source where it is MUCH cheaper to buy (esp with the pound movement).

Have you paid full VAT and Duty for all the parts you have imported?

Beyond that there is nothing to discuss.

Regards,
Neil.

I commend anyone who makes a pinball machine. I commend anyone who supplies parts and consumables, easy to have a pop, a lot harder to do what those guys are doing.
As do I Alan but not when the quality its shoddy and in effect is poor value. Or when the organisation effectively rips of the community.

Neil.

@Neil McRae

We do work with Pinball Brothers, or will when the time is right. So you begrudge someone within the community, who is holding deposits from doing so, as opposed to someone like HLD getting the opportunity?

I don't think we are blocking anyone from buying anything - are you referring to Mezel Mods? That was a decision due to UK regulation we just spotted a gap in the market.

We are fully up to date on what is due to be paid by the Bazaar.

If there's nothing to discuss beyond that, maybe you should let it go hey

Mezel no longer ship to the UK, it’s all handled by the Bazaar now unless you want to buy from another 3rd party distributor.

Then you kick of at me for saying I can still get parts? LOL quality mate.

Not a yes answer then huh?

If I think someone is going to be ripped off I'm going to do everything I can to make sure that they are aware, remember back when you first got your pinball machine?

Regards,
Neil.
