Hi all
before I go down the route of making a rotisserie using a mitre saw stand which I’d rather not. But like the idea of it not sitting on a table.
Im only ever going to be doing 2 playfields in my lifetime so don’t want to buy new or I’m happy to hire one.
I’m at Pinfest the whole weekend so could pick up there.
up for suggestions what you did.

Alan

Please feel free to add photos to this thread what you use no matter of the cost.

Can't you just borrow one from Ant when he's not using it 😄
I’m too slow, he will definitely want it back before I’ve even took one item off. I bet a playfield is bolted in it now.

which one did you get Scott ?

I went the mitre saw table route as I needed one of those too.

Bar stool swivel plates for the end, welded to the box steel. Then angle iron welded on and some clamps to keep the table on.

Same route as @Calimori but I just bolted mine together.

1 evolution mitre saw table which I already had and you can pick up 2nd hand from ebay. https://www.screwfix.com/p/evolutio...A2EB-VxCEv85qXkyw3gaAn9IEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds

2 2x 6 inch seat swivels which I got from amazon.
3. 2× 50cm long 30mm x 30mm square mild steel tube from amazon
4. 2x50cm long slotted angle iron from amazon
5. Nuts and bolts to assemble which I got out of a £5 assortment pack from aldi.

The 30mm square steel tube fits perfectly into the slots on the evolution saw table so no alterations s are needed to the table.

You might want to make the square tube 60cm rather than 50 cm so that you have better clearance when swivelling particularly if doing a widebody. At 50cm clearance is a bit tight.

Also the slotted angles allow use of nuts and bolts with penny washers through the hanger holes at the apron end to secure the playfield. You can also unscrew the 3 or 4 screws that hold on the backboard and using penny washers put them back in through the slotted steel to mount at the other end. Then no clamps are needed.

You can see the apron end playfield mounting bolts in my pic.

Got to be honest - I do not use them.
Do mine on the bench.
Putting on a rotisserie om top of the bench makes it too high as my bench is designed to work on whilst standing up.
Maybe I have to flip it twice during a PF swap.
Alternatively I also do a lot of it vertical.

He got the same one I told him to get.

Honestly its not too expensive.

That it is expensive in comparison these ghetto rotisseries, I wouldn't mind one of those though, think that's the same as what they would use on a bench at stern or jjp.

OK so here is my attempt at the rotisserie built to restore a FH. Anyone can knock this up if u have a corner in the garage etc.

Couple of bits of aluminium extrusion 2 bolts and some angle iron. Not the best but ok for a one off shop.
