Just noticed that Play Expo is back on in Blackpool at the beginning of October, is there going to be any pinball going on?

Was speaking to Steve pagett at pinfest and he is supplying 10 games and he said somebody else is fetching 5 machines

NLP provided a community effort last year partly because no large Manchester Play event. This year, like in several previous Blackpool shows it is definitely me but not sure yet if anybody else.

I have had EGX cancel pinball this year (after 6 years) and several comic cons change their minds about having them as well.

With lack of arcade footfall l need these public shows.

Northern Lights Pinball won't be supporting this year unfortunately. Some of us are headed to the UK Open in London (same weekend) and others had booked holidays that weekend.

I really enjoy the Blackpool shows so will be sad to miss it. I'm sure Steve and Co will do a great job of course though

Good to know there will be a selection there. Looking forward to the event now.

What happened to the Manchester show, was that a victim of covid, or something else? Always enjoyed that show, such a good venue.

I was at Blackpool last year with a friend, great fun and we were at the Pin section many times. Tempted to book last minute and take the whole family, bu try goodness I think it would be cheaper to go to Spain for the weekend.

@ailsaclunie and @Hullshark are you folks gonna be heading for Blackpool this weekend ?

Sorry Scott - we are off to a music festival with some other pinheads this weekend. Alternative music at Skegness , Butlins. Electric circus are doing the pinballs at Blackpool plus ther is the pinball open in London . If you do go - don’t stay at the castle . It’s really poor . We usually stay at the premier inn in bispham - only a 10 minute walk at most but also plenty of B&bs close by .

Thanks for the heads up Ailsa. I think we will give Blackpool a miss this year, well maybe. Have a great weekend at the gig.

I do quite miss the Manchester shows, especially the one that was held at the G-MEX (near oxford road station) compared to next to the trafford centre.

I'm hoping Addams Family holds up for 2 days as it gets little play here but the general public love it. Hope to crank up the pinsound on it as well.

There is no news yet on play expo Manchester. Covid killed it for 2 years .

3 years now - 2020, 2021, and 2022. I went to the Manchester one in 2019.

Covid has made the decision of me going to Blackpool tomorrow or not (and almost certainly for Sunday too) as I tested positive last week, and so far haven't had a negative test, although as tomorrow is day 10 its likely I'll get one very soon.
