HI all

Just picked up a Harlem Globetrotters on tour that was missing a 6 digit display and its housing. I have bought a replacement display but can not seem to find any mention of the surround - or anyone who sells them.

would someone have one lying about perhaps.

Pics show the replacement display and a display taken out of the game showing the plastic housing it sits in.

LED displays don't tend to have them. It's a bug bear of mine because you get a lot of light bleed from the GI. Some come with a foam piece you can put around it but its rare. I think you have to make your own out of foam.

I used cut up an old cereal box on my Centaur to create a light baffle around each display. It was supposed to be a temporary solution as it bugged me so much but I never got round to buying the proper foam.

Some clever pinside member has made these of you have access to a 3d printer

Edit: ignore me, these aren’t what you asked about

The black plastic surrouind on the old display is to protect the glass display more than anything. They are not used on the modern led ones Do as @David_Vi says and make your own shields out of card or paper if you are bothered by light bleed.
