I will add it to the list of replacement boards available. Not bad price at all, even the cost ready to go with all the microprocessor, ASIC and EPROM.

There are loads of 5v drop protection devices out there now. It makes sense to integrate it into a new improved board.

You can buy them. The ASIC is not cheap.
If the original board is the issue, they are easy to swap over with the correct tool. Using the wrong tool can crack them.

Are those ASICS still manufactured? Or are we just running old stock that will eventually run out?
