I think Total Recall is the one we would all have loved to see go into production ! Just what the hell were they smoking at DE the day that was thought of

I see two machines like that when I've had too many drinks lol close one eye and see if the seconds pin disapears;)

I think you would be limited to what car that Total Recall would fit into. Looks like it would be a mare to set up on your own to. Totally Bonkers would be a better name for it.

And could you actually play a one player game on it ?

No idea. Very little info out there on it , and believe me I have looked over the years- somebody from the DE days must have a ton of info on this surely !

My guess is (if it even got as far as software) there would have been an option for 1 or 2 player simultaneous play ... but would you both be playing with same ball ? , or balls on each side ?, can the balls move between tables ? ....who knows. Maybe the whole thing was a massive joke/April fool

Looks cool. Didn't they also get as far as a prototype Richie Rich pin, which then got reworked into Tommy?

Good job too, can't think of many things worse than looking at Macauley Calkin on a back glass!

Richie Rich was just a rethemed Tommy. One off for the movie.

There was a prototype Tommy (approx 8-10 made) which was radically different to the production model - it featured 6 pop bumpers, different layout and artwork.

But Richie Rich is just a reskinned regular Tommy.

King Kong, 9 made and then they reworked it into BTTF apparently

Chris Hutchins at High End Pins has got one of these. I think it's going to be his next restore that gets videoed and put up on Youtube once he's finished with Krull.
