Very late reporting this so excuse me. I also couldn’t find the right thread for this, so feel free to move it.

Most of my pins have been kept at my office for various reasons including quality space at home.

Our decision to re-home the company earlier in the year gave me impetus to sort out a home for them.

I didn’t have a ton of land and my wife likes the small garden, we had considered moving but decided against that, anyway I knew moving would mean her finding somewhere for other expensive four legged creatures (horses). So in the end we decided to reshape things a little.

Anyway I decided that the carport area would be fine as a pin room and house 7-10 machines - fine for a personal game room of a collection that had got to 18 at one point. I also decided I wanted a workroom/pinshack that I could use to mod and tinker with stuff - big enough in theory to house 2 projects.

First I had to get rid of the carport contents, which was my greatly loved black 911 4S, bought with cash my father had left. It was a nobrainer really as I couldn’t drive and still can’t - but at some point hope to again. (Don’t go having a stroke, it’s quite inconvenient)

With the car sold, the idea was to utilize the space and small out building (full of crap from previous owner) as my pin area.

Using the existing shell and roof allowed work to be swift and the basis for the room took a few weeks.

Inside of the grubby outbuilding next to the carport. I’d got this area in mind for a small office. Not massive, but enough for me and relocating my pc stuff from the house.

Meanwhile I had a day tombstoning the collection and preparing them for eventual moving.

I was pleased with the cladding and decided to do the whole house to make it uniform. The house had, by virtue of extensions over the years, several different brick types which always kicked off my ocd.

First time the area got plastered. I say first because things were delayed 2 weeks because the guys who did it made a pig of it and it had to be done by someone who could actually plaster well.

I also bought a vpin project from the forum and began quite a long list of changes (but that’s another story)

Hedges start coming down as June comes. Slates are for the conservatory roof, part of other alterations.

Part 3: Flaming June.

As June arrives, things are starting to get a little antagonistic with the builders (small Independent group of 3). One local guy good, one was basically non existent and the sparky was a work shy fop, so I was getting wound up, to say the least.

Part 5: August

By the middle of August, I’d got so disappointed with the builders that they were sacked off. I ended up hiring one back To work for me, this has been fine.

This is a miniature of tempest, classic arcade game of early 80s. I’ve bought a non working one from New York, waiting to be shipped.

Sorry if a bit pic heavy! :)

Meanwhile work on the house continues, we'll have a break after Sept. and resume April.

Looks fantastic @Spadge. Love the colour and the arcade 1ups. So many people turn their nose up at them but they are a great, cheap way of playing some games and having that arcade feeling in the e home.
Will look forward to seeing the Tempest when it arrives.

You should be well proud of that room mate.

Cheers. The 1up cabs are great, are ok size and weight and easy to mod and improve. Am doing some conversions to have a defender, robotron and tempest with decals etc. I’ve got 9 :)

Well done mate, it all looks fantastic, love the decision to clad the whole house, what a transformation! Tell me more about that outside bar, custom built or bought and assembled? #wantone!

Bar was bought, £500 bare unstained. I rapidly dressed it, added elec, thatcher roof etc.

Also added a hot tub (lay-z-spa - excellent value) that’s got a full stained wooden surround as well.
