Hello, I am the owner of a Pinbot pinball machine, specifically the Spanish version (Cirsa). I am currently in the process of repairing the electronics and I need the pinout description for the interface board, specifically the coil switch input between the MPU board and the transistor driver board.

My wire harness was damaged, and the wires were cut, so I need a detailed description of the wire colors, or possibly the Spanish schematic if anyone has it.

I saw on the forum that someone else has a Spanish version of Pinbot, and I would be grateful for any help.

Thanks for your response. Do you have any more photos from the restoration of your unit that could help us?

@AlanJ does great workshop logs 👍

The schematics from the website are available for many Cirsa games, but not for Pinbot. Maybe you still have them somewhere on your drive. I know it's been five years, but you might still have them. Please check.

What @AlanJ is saying - he used the Williams pinbot schematics - these: https://www.ipdb.org/files/1796/Williams_1986_Pin_bot_Manual.pdf
Pages 57 to 78 of the pdf is where the schematics are (pages 65 and 66 in particular).

I appreciate that the board you have shown in your original post does not appear to be included in these schematics. your best bet is to ask for photos of the board with it's connectors on from someone with a complete game.

Exactly. One photo of this board from a working machine would save us a lot of time. Maybe the person who bought the game from @AlanJ could help.

@MadMonzer and I had @alanJ’s El PinBotto for a while, and @MadMonzer spent a while trying to fix a fault, but not at that level of detail (he says).

I do remember it was wired, basically, the opposite way to a Williams Pinbot. So, from my memory, if you use the normal Williams schematics, there’s an “A” and a “C” side with a relay to switch between them, and the “A” and “C” on El PinBotto (as we christened the Cirsa Pinbot) control the opposite side to in a normal System 11.

We just used the normal Williams manual and accounted for the swapped sides thing.

So, might be worth looking at the board on a normal Pinbot and then just trying to account for any differences. It was not, during our investigation, much different from the Williams version of Pinbot.

Thanks to the kindness of my colleague Arv, I have the original Spanish schematics, so there shouldn't be any problems now. But I really appreciate the tips! Once we sort out our El-Pinbotto, I'll report back.
