Looking to put in an order with Pinball Heaven for some coil sleeves but it doesn't meet the minimum postage requirement as they're like 60p each. What other bits and bobs would be useful to have a stock of so I can have interrupted play over the christmas period?

I could easily top the order off with Novus but, if somethings broken, no amount of rubbing will make it work again.

bolts, washers, posts, star posts, rubbers, bulbs 47/44/555, bulb holders for the green boards, fuses, diodes, transistors, coil sleeves, end stops, plungers, microswitches, screws, LEDs, croc clips, soldering kit (sucker, solder, sponge, alcowipes), springs, batteries, tools (++........

315mA, it wasn't a typo ;)

As a rule just go for the nearest under the rated value?

Hmmm tough call. Usually next nearest value component up or down is ok, but fuses have such big gaps. 315mA is ~20% less than 375mA. That may cause it to blow often. Also I just looked on PH site and 315mA is 20mm fuse? Are you sure that's the right size as HS2 and FT are WPC games and use 32mm (or 1.25inch) fuses don't they? (Not got a machine or manual to hand here ATM). 20mm is the size that goes in a mains plug, and 32mm are the bigger chunkier ones. PH has 375mA in 32mm listed.

Also I think Grizz meant 3.15A for the 2.5A (closer value up is better than further away down!)

Next level up IMO - there's next to bugger all between 325mA and 375mA anyhow... If it's less, as BigBloke says, it'll possibly keep blowing as these are specced as close as they can get to the actual value. Obviously if it was 3A and all you could get was a 10A then I'd be more concerned....

As I'm starting from scratch, I went on CPC and bought a soldering iron, multimeter, spirit level, fuses, imperial hex set and a compartment toolbox for the bits I will inevitably accumulate!

When you say hex set, do you mean nut-drivers? I'm looking for a decent set but couldn't see one on CPC. Have you got a link to the one you bought by any chance?
