For my Virtual Pin build, I'd like to fit a original plunger to work with the games.

The one that came of my donor cabinet is quite scruffy and has a plastic outer cover. I'd like one similar to this look:

Even better, if it has the Williams 'W' in place :)

I know they're on the usual Ebay, but most come from the US so they have the import dutys attached to them.

Cheers!

Have you tried the main UK suppliers yet? Pinball Heaven (Phil) and Pinball Mania (Andy the Legend) are both on this forum and both supply, fix and sponsor/promote shows.

There's others too, like PinballDaze (specialises in DE) and OneStopPinball (best circuit breakers) so don't forget to check your local suppliers

Do you not want a digital plunger for a Virtual pin ?

I've heard mixed things about them really (VirtuaPin's version, NanoTech's and Zebs) loosing calibration after a some play. Also the price of some of them.. the best is supposed to be Zeb's which is currently been flogged for $600,on sale currently though. It used to be $790 :-o

Found here (if anyone wants to donate me one ;) ) http://www.zebsboards.com/index.php/feedback-control-devices/plunger-detail

I'm going to try and rig up a manual plunger up either a mirco switch, or Microsoft Sidewinder controller.

What the actual fuc_k. Does someone charge £500 for a thing that pretends to launch a ball? The world's gone mad I tell ya. Mad.

My thoughts exactly @cooldan but I suspect what you're paying for mostly is the electronic gibbons that works out how far you've pulled the plunger so it can simulate different strengths for skill shots. It's not just a simple go switch. The item on that link was also "only" $175 not $600 but I think I'll still stick to the real thing ;)

I ahve the nanotech one

Has nudge and tilt sensors also... cant say how good it is though as its still in a box with a load of other virtual Pin stuff
