Hello pinballers, it's with great joy to announce that the UK's biggest and best pinball club has returned to Croydon tonight after being closed since February! Some questioned our return, well guess what - WE ARE BACK AND BETTER THAN EVER!! 😁😁 On opening day we are currently at 66 machines but we have plenty more ready to hit the floor so you can expect that number to increase within the next few weeks!

NEW ADDRESS:
Pinball Republic
Unit 60 Lower Ground Floor
Centrale Shopping Mall
North End
Croydon
CR0 1TY

OPENING HOURS:
Thursday nights from 18:30 - 23:00
Saturdays 10:00 - 13:00 / 14:00 - 17:00
Sundays 10:00 - 13:00 / 14:00 - 17:00
- Weekend session times are due to change shortly as we figure things out as the founders decided an hour closure in-between isn't really needed

PRICING:
- Monthly Membership: £45 gives unlimited access for the month on all Thursday and weekend sessions.
- Non-members/Walk-ins: £15 per session. £25 for all day access (Saturday and Sunday only)
- Juniors under 12: £5 per session and must be accompanied by a paying adult

TRANSPORT/PARKING:
Trams and buses all run directly outside our front door! Centrale Shopping center has its own multi-story parking which is just a few escalators away from our front door, just pay at the machines in the car park on your way out! There are also plenty of other carparks if you are looking for a cheaper alternative.
- We're just a short stroll away from major train stations like East and West Croydon, with trains coming from London Bridge, St. Pancreas, Victoria, and Black Frairs.
- From Brighton way take the train to East Croydon.
- From Peterborough, Cambridge, Luton, and Stevenage take the Thameslink service.
- Wimbledon, Beckenham and many other places south of London directly to Centrale via the trams.

FOOD/DRINK:
Our favourite machine, the vending machine returns and is full of drinks and snacks, however there are plenty of other options available in the shopping center. (I highly recommend Chop Stix upstairs) McDonalds is just outside, Starbucks and all the other outlets you expect are just outside our door too! Of course you are more than welcome to bring your own booze however it's is STRICTLY PROHIBITED to walk outside of PBR with open/visible alcohol!

TOILETS:
Toilet facilities are not present inside the club itself however if you walk outside our door, turn left down the side between us and the boxing club you will see the public toilets.

SMOKING:
PBR is a non-smoking/vaping facility. If you need some fresh air please head outside. The nearest exit is left out of our door, down a short flight of stairs and out by the Mecca Bingo hall.

We can't wait to welcome you all into our new home, everyone has worked exceptionally hard to bring the club back for your flipping pleasure. It's my mission to ensure that every machine is always working and playing perfectly so if during your visit you do encounter any machine issues (no matter how small!) please do inform the host who will log it. Or you can flag me down or send me a message and i will address all issues asap!

Hope to see you all soon!
James

Great work everyone and great post James (the machines are in great hands). The game selection also looks good.

I have a couple of questions:

How comes its not open Friday evenings, that would seem like a logical busy time?

How long is a session?

Will you be doing a Juniors ticket option?
I would imagine that with all the facilities around you that you may get a lot of passers-by that are curious and intrigued.

Example: Tommy is 12 years old and his Parents/Guardians are not really fussed or interested and he is really keen but they won't pay £15 just to humour his curiosity.
You know the ins and outs of the business more than I do, but it seems like an opportunity to get more people switched on to pinball might be missed. 👍

Apologies everyone for missing some info out, I was extremely tired last night I just wanted to get something up so everyone knew what was happening at PBR. I've updated the initial post a little.

Weekend sessions are:
Early Session: 10:00 - 13:00
Late Session: 14:00 - 17:00
This is due to change as we figure things out as an hour closure in-between really isn't nessesary. Price is £15 a session or £25 for all day play.

A children's price was spoken about, I can't remember what price was decided so I will keep you updated on that one 👍🏻

I think Fridays were out the window due to hosts not being able/willing to do Fridays, the old place was never open on Friday so I think for now the founders have just chosen to continue with the original hours.

what's the people-capacity of the club as I'd prefer to be able to book a slot in advance knowing that I'll get in?

I doubt you're at any risk of not being able to get in Bob. We are at 66 games with more due to hit the floor, it's a huge unit so plenty of room... I'm sure legally there is a maximum punter limit but not sure what that would be 😂

think its something the management need to consider though, for me its 90 minute travel each way

tomorrow I'm visiting the The Pinball Office, no way would i travel 200miles hoping to get into a 30 capacity club!

It's very bright, spacious and airy. We went on Thursday. It's an absolute superb venue, an amazingly convenient central location, beautifully fitted out, and with an exceptional selection of well-presented pins 🥰 🎉🥳

Everyone involved should be super-proud of themselves, especially as I know getting here was anything but smooth sailing. London rents aren't the cheapest, landlords are tricky ba****ds, and - to my knowledge - every venue looked at needed a full refit. As far as I'm aware, lots of pins were forced into storage for months, which - from my experience folding up pins temporarily - I'm sure gave @MajesticPinball lots of busy days, late nights and general stress getting everything shiny and working properly again.

We are very lucky in London to have this venue. If you do get the chance to go, please do. To everyone who worked hard on reopening - you are total stars ⭐🌟💫✨

A great opening weekend at the new venue. Thanks to everyone that came out to support us!

Our mission is to keep improving as we move forward so thank you everyone that took the time to fill in the fault cards and provide feedback.

The PBR League kicks off again this Thursday from 6:30pm
