Pinball Regrets

Selling my TZ and WH2O, I mean they were tombstoned but I should have just waited until I had more space ;)

Not getting into it earlier to be honest...

Not building my pinshed big enough...

Not buying machines when they were cheaper. I remember seeing a STTNG at one of the Daventry shows for about a grand and umming and ahhing over it. Wish Id gone for it now as its a game I've started really enjoying on the few games I've had on it since.

Moving a dozen of my machines on, albeit through TAX and work short-term cashflow trauma last year.

Let my beautiful TAF go as part of the above, TOTAN, MB, TWDLE, ACDC and many more. Now got most of the ones i missed back in some form.

Selling my lovely WH20, that included a brand new playfield and set of brand new ramps ( not fitted ) for £2200......

I lost about £700 on the deal and now I know having been through many, many games, that I would have kept it to go for Vacation jackpot. Classic newbie error, chasing the next fix, not realizing I didn't need anything else.

Yeah I'd have another WH20 again too, it can join the list. Problem is that when I get a machine thats new to me, I tend to spend 500-2K on it in terms of mods. Can't help myself.

Selling Barracora...
Selling Centaur when I got it back after selling it the first time cos I had an Addams

Same here Paul, I headed straight to the vids every time, pins were invisible to me.

I just played at Lunch hour to pass the time. Blackpool was just a short drive away - must have had loads, but I never even considered going.

Swapping an absolutely beautiful Twilight Zone for a Golden Eye + cash cos I needed the cash to buy a car.

Buying dialed-in

I concur. I didn't hate it, but didn't love it either - perhaps I wanted the Pat Lawlor TAF/TZ magic. Kept it 5-6 weeks at most. Perhaps had it not kept saying "Crrrrazy" and the music being repetitive and annoying.

Anyway I don't regret selling it.

Two regrets with regards to pinball...

1. I could have picked up a Jurassic Park machine for £700 a good fe years ago prior to the massive pinflation.

2. I regret screwing over a pinball seller recently. I paid a deposit but reneged on the deal when another machine came up £600 cheaper. I was recovering from a mental breakdown and not in the best state of mind but I did feel a lot of guilt after that.

Buying my first pin a LW3 20 odd years ago for £150 that has kept me in this god damn crazy machine buying selling swapping madness ever since o_O

Not buying a new ac dc Lucy when they first came out, have a premium now so all good, but cost me more than the Lucy second hand, oh well , lw3 was also my first pin, battered and not on my want list but can not bring myself to sell it
