Pinball Priority

I was wondering if anyone wanted to share their experiences and thoughts on where they put pinball as a priority in their lives.

If anything goes wrong with one of my machines (I only have two) I am straight in there sorting it. For example, recently a sling shot started ‘chattering’ when playing.

In minutes I was examining the switch and checking if it was set right. I clean and check the machines on a religiously regular basis.

Meanwhile...

- the inside of my car looks a tip, red warning light has been on for months and the car is bloody filthy

- the garden is overgrown in the summer and I mow the lawn when I can’t see the cat outside

- the uneaten Christmas cheese in the fridge has started to develop its own ecosystem and the icebox is held shut with a paper clip

- the radiator control that broke off two months ago is still in the fruit bowl

- there are tins of weird food at the back of the pantry that are older than me

Etc etc

The good news?

My pinball machines are in top nick though [emoji106]

I'm reading this pinball forum when I could be watching "Don't Tell the Bride" downstairs:tut:

Funny you wrote that as just spent over 2 hours cleaning a 1954 Gottlieb stepper as I noticed it was not re-setting as quickly as it could. Even my 1950's games I want them to play 100% fault free and as close to factory as possibleo_O

Same with all my modern games - have to be fault free! Er, think I am a wee bit obsessive:D

mate, nearly pi**ed myself reading this, I was in a public bar laughing like a mad one. Love it!

There are some jobs in the house that have to be done - otherwise moan to nagging ratio gets dangerously high - thankfully Martin @ gopinball (who is a fantastic Pinball mechanic) helps me keep my machines in tip top condition.

I didn't know you had such an interest in Eastern European stuff!

Currently the pinball machines are just ahead of the goldfish on the priorities list.

Currently my car has got a break light out, a sidelight out and I've had my engine light on for probably about 6 months now. However i will check all of my machines quite often for blown bulbs and replace them instantly... My priorities are definitely sorted.
