Good morning
Can I ask where people get these from as I can't find anything and have seen pictures of covers.
I might be evicted to the conservatory and guess things will get faded if not covered.
I'm not too bothered about custom made, just a basic one for all cover.

Many Thanks
Robert

I am planning another run in the next few weeks if you are interested. Still not 100% certain to happen, but if you are interested I will post asking for orders if it is happening. I did a run of 25 last time and they sold out pretty quickly!

Yes I would take 3, just let me know when you need payment.
Many Thanks

They will probably be about £30 each including magentic fastners. They only cover the cabinet. We did do backbox covers which are just like big pillow cases for £15 as well. The material is dark blue, quite lightweight, but offering good protection against light. I have them on my machines in a conservatory and they have been fine.

The thing is they are hand made by my kids so no two are identical and if/when we get going they are slow to produce. And also we bought 100m of material last time and when that runs out that's it.

If you need some and see them offered elsewhere I'd say for it as its by no means certain how many we will make or when. But then good things come to those who wait.

Having said that there does seem to be a lot of people interested so I may get them manufactured at a local facility which would mean more availability sooner, but they may cost more...

I thought mass-production was supposed to mean cheaper costs ;).

Either way I'd be interested mate. Would wide-body ones be on offer or just "Regular fit"?

I thought mass-production was supposed to mean cheaper costs ;).

Yeah but even mass production doesn't beat the low low cost of teen labour.

Definately would do wide-bodies too - the covers are essentially identical except they are about 3cm wider (I seem to remember)

I'll be interested in at least a couple of the regular and a wide unless making them in a way that doesn't risk crippling child injuries shoves the cost through the roof :D.

Just a quick update on this. We're just cranking the production machine up now and made a start on a few. I want to get a bit of stock made up before offering them for sale, but the signs are that I will have some for sale in the forseeable future.

If you are interested in some covers and haven't posted above then it would be helpful if you could give an indication of how many you might want and whether you want widebody or normal covers. No comittment, just to give me an idea of how many to make.

They'll be about £29 plus postage, and I'll probably aim to make as many as there is demand for before the supplies run out or my kids get bored making them. I'll get prices and take firm orders when (if) stock is made up and the quality is OK.

Cheers,

Paul

As per previous comment I'll take 2 regular and a wide please.

Might be interested in a couple of the backbox covers too for machines at the end of rows and thus have heads a bit exposed to sunlight - Are they roomy enough to accomodate a topper (i.e. TAF/ FT/ etc)? also how easy are they to get off, assuming my machines are as packed together as yours are in the conservatory?

They basically look like big pillow cases to hold a pillow the size of a backbox. As long as you can around the side they should be OK to get on and off, but ideally you need access to both sides so you can get it right over and pull down on both sides.

They are not designed to take a topper, and I have never seen one that does, but it is I suppose possible to make an extra long one which would go over the topper and hang down long enough, but it might look a bit odd. Alternatively you could cut a slit in the tip so the topper pokes out.

Here are some we made from the previous batch. They fit B/W and Stern games including ones with fancy shooter rods and buttons on the lockdown bar (like AC/DC) .

Having said that, as you can see they fit OK and do a great job, but the fit is by no means perfect: expect the odd crease or corner that is not exactly in the right place.

This one shows the magnetic fastner that sticks to the backbox hinge to keep the cover on and makes it simple to remove - just tug.

Fancy stitching the kitchen lady does. The hole for the shooter rod is also finished with this stitching to stop fraying.
(The hole is big, to accomodate guns, fishing rod handles etc etc etc.)

Right, that's enough haberdashery talk. I'm off to play with knives and explosives and other manly things....

Are there magnets at the bottom back corners next to the legs, to hold the covers flush to the sides of the cabs?

I can certainly supply a couple of extra magnets (they are self adhesive) if you want to put them on in that position, for a quid or two extra.

Or you can buy them yourself and add as many as you like. I use something like this:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MAGNET-Ex...42-Neodymium-South-Disc-Magnets-/281900289805

Last time I offered a version with magents at the bottom as well as the top and no-one ordered them, and actually I haven't found them necessary on my own covers.

Ok that's great, I only mentioned it because the ones I have now have them. I find them useful to help hold the covers on when I'm working on the adjacent machine.

The person I got them from in Hungary seems to have vanished, so if you could put me down for 1 standard and 1 widebody with the extra magnets please!

Quick update: the first ten have entered production. Still waiting delivery of magnets and completion subject to availability of youth workers. (One has gone off to Glasgow for four days to get drunk so good luck if you get one made the first day after he is back.)

(I proposed offering an LE version which would be sewn by Mrs Pavlov while topless (doesn't alter the functionality of the cover but the thrill of knowing the cover was made by a semi-naked seamstress has got to be worth a few quid extra, right?) Sadly she just told me to stop being such a twat so they won't be available.)

Gillian Taylforth went on to do 15 years of Eastenders but is still most famous for her A1 slip-road Range Rover antics, after which she unsuccessfully tried to sue The Sun newspaper for suggesting she was gobbling off her boss. She claimed that actually he was having a pancreatitis attack, and she was merely giving him abdominal massage. With her tongue presumably. Via his cock.

I did suggest to my work place to make some a while back (we prodomently make stuff for the armed forces but we will pretty much make anything I designed a drum bag a while back). If you wanted to try them for a price give me a shout pavlov min order quantity 20

Hi all. The first batch of 15 covers is nearly ready, so it's time to take firm orders. Most are standard, a few are widebody. In fact the standard will work on a widebody, so I didn't make many widebody.

Pricing is as follows:
Standard or widebody or hybrid cover £29.99 each
Premium version (includes 2 extra magnets to attach bottom of cover to legs) £31.99

£1.50 for each one sold will be donated to the forum to help cover @Paul 's costs.

Postage via Hermes:
Option 1: Up to four covers £3.99 flat rate. Uninsured - if package gets lost its your problem not mine as I can't afford to take the hit if it gets lost. (Last time all packages were sent out uninsured and none got lost, but that doesn't mean they won't in future.)

Option 2: 1 cover insured up to £30 £4.39
Option 3: 2 covers insured up to £60 £6.19
Option 4: 3 covers insured up to £90 £7.99
Option 5: 4 covers insured up to £120 £8.79

If you want a signature on delivery service: 0.85p

Please remember: these are home made not factory made. Although made with love and care each one is different. Quality control consists of one of us trying it on a machine to ensure it looks OK.

If you want to place an order please PM me with:

the quantity of standard and widebody you want
whether you want to upgrade to Premium version (+£2, for which you get two extra magnets)
Which postage option you want
Whether you want signature on delivery
your full name and address

As they are finished and ready for despatch I will contact you to get payment by paypal. At that point I'll need payment within 24 hours or I'll move on to the next person. (Not trying to be difficult, but I just want this to be as simple as possible to do.) Once we have sold out then that's it - no-one will be asked to pay unless the stock is available!

@robertlucas1970 and @elrikos made the initial enquiries about these so I will do theirs first (if they still want them) and then go on from there.

We may do more in the near future, but the costs may change.

That's it! I hope everyone who orders them likes them...
