Happy Friday all - hope everyone has had a good week!

I'll be getting a Revenge From Mars in the future and have a question regarding how easy it is, software wise to play SW episode one on it if I ever felt like switching between the two (if I ever found a episode 1 playfield that is; don't see them come up. I'm a much bigger fan of RFM, so would want to make sure it'd be easy swapping back to RFM for 90% of the time)

I have no idea which pc the one I'm getting has in it, although it does have the latest @mycode unatalled (really looking forward to playing that, as I the the RFM I played had earlier code and no hold left flipper skill shot launch).
If I found an Episode 1 PF, would I need thre Prism(?) card for it and I'd juat swap that out when changing games? ; or is there a way for the pc inside to easily switch between RFM and SW:E1 code (kind of a dual boot if you will)

I'm anticipating that this will depend of what kind of pc is inside (Nucore?), but I thought I'd ask incase it's as simple as sliding a different cards in and out.

Also, if anyone has a SW:E1 kit or whatever, which they might want to sell for a reasonable price later in the year, drop me a message (would need to do some research re; how much storage space I'd need to put a kit away - my other half **** down the idea while back when I was offered an ep1+RFM kit...🤒)

Thanks all 👍

If it has a modern pc in it running pin box then you don’t have to do anything just swap over playfield s and if it’s set to dual it will recognise the new playfield and play that game you would also have to fit a shooter rod for swep1
If it’s the original system you will have to swap the prism card

Very interested in the answers here, my point being RFM has a ball launch button, SWEP1 has a traditional plunger. Never understood this when they were made with the intention of swapping out playfields???

I wouldn’t personally worry too much about getting the SWEP1 kit, RFM is far superior more so with Jim’s latest code, shaker, knocker and 6 ball trough.

Chris.

All useful info, thanks guys. Don't want to get ahead of myself, but just crossed my mind in case an Episode 1 playfield comes up at some point.
Have played one a few times and thought it was fun, but much prefer RFM.
Will have to watch the TILT doc again for about the 4th time:-)
