Pinbal Life Import Duties

Not really sure what your asking, short answer is you will get charged 20% vat on your purchase of goods from Pinball Life.

I think the 20% is on the total amount so that’s your items/goods plus shipping and then you get taxed on the lot, you also usually have to pay a £8 or £12 handling fee from whoever delivers the item.

When importing goods, they are subject where applicable to customs duty, vat, excise duty and handling fees. The commodity or tariff code used on the import will dictate what duty is payable.

If the wrong commodity code is used on the import declaration then you could be charged for VAT and Customs Duty.

I wanted some assurance that the Customs Duty would be nil and just the vat + handling would be charged...Only one way to find out :)

If it's over £135 so they are not collecting VAT themselves I would assume it would possibly be the courier that chooses the code based on the description given by the sender, I doubt the sender would be required to provide a code, just description and value.

Anything under £135 they are supposed to collect VAT themselves.

If they use DHL and under the £135 it should get pre-clearance, so no customs hold or Parcel Force handover BS.

The use Fed Ex international priority, or at least every time ive ordered from them and at one point a fair bit. You can use theinternal snail UPS option but I personally wouldn't.

I did have to pay an import charge, but unfortunetly dont have the details. You get an email from Fed when its landed, normally delivery is about 3 days all in.
