I know this was covered somewhere but can't find it.

Basically, all the boards in the backbox and under the playfield need a good clean and I usually use foaming spray and clean off with Isopropanol but that is going to be time intensive.
I have read about folks using a dishwasher, hoses and other water delivering devices. I am looking for experience, good and bad, on using a dishwasher. Doesn't the salt cause an issue? We have pretty hard water here and that also worries me.

They need some components replaced and I do not like to work on dirty boards to ensure the best finish. Clean one or two and my OCD then gets annoyed at the rest.

Have looked at this a few times...

Dishwasher is good, however if you have switches/relays or Pots... they wont like it...

Personally i do mine by hand (brush and water with a tiny drop of liquid soap - Fairy or similar).... that way you can also be careful with the labels..

People like using DI water and an ultrasonic cleaner...

My ultrasonic cleaner might be good for a few of the smaller boards but it is tiny.
OK, I will return to doing them by hand with the foamer spray or a bit of controlled water first...

I typically use contact cleaner over the kitchen sink, WD40 contact cleaner to be more precise as it leaves zero residue, then finish dry in the oven at 50 degrees.

Works well for me.

Chris.

How many litres is that one? Looks like there are loads of generic brands that have different sizes.
The one I have is 22 Litres. I had a look and it’s currently unavailable on Amazon. I’ll find it and add the link just so you can see the dimensions which might help find an alternative.
