Hello Everyone.

Well, first an introduction. I'm one of the old skool pin heads who still had an active email feed from yahoo! I've relented and come over here and finding my feet in this strange new world of the forum. I guess I'll recognise a few of the old brigade. I'm from the NE Scotland and have about 7 pins at the moment TAF, ST:TNG, HS2:GW, T2, Opertation Thunder, Solar Flare EM and Hot Line EM. All are players machines, some are projects.

It's with regards to Operation Thunder to which I post. I need a manual or schematics or both. I see Marco sell them (happy to buy) but postage is eye wateringly expensive. I could get it sent to a colleague but that's just a hassle. Any leads in the UK?

I also need a shooter rod and probably a ton of other things - that's the most obvious thing. If anybody has anything - do let me know, beer tokens await.

It blows the main fuse on plug in so I have to start at the very beginning. There is a very odd "fix" on the playfield - it looks like someone has sawn a snooker ball (cue ball perhaps?) and rammed it in the right scoop. There is a mod under the playfield which almost looks like it should be there - I'll take some pics for posterity.

Anyway, nice to meet you all :)

Keith(Too) - which might mean something to some :)

Keith, see my PM to you (click on envelope top right corner).

For parts, try Best of Pinball in Germany, they stock a fair amount of Gottlieb stuff. Anything they don't have, I usually get Andy N. to obtain from Pinball Resource in his bulk orders.

Keith, welcome.gifto Pinball Info at last.
You might not recognise @replicas hopefully you might know me better as Darren. It's been a while you need to get yourself to one of the shows to meet up with some of the old crew.

Thanks to every one for the warm welcome. I really do need to get to one of the shows to catch up. I really enjoyed meeting what was an incredible group of friends, many of whom I still keep in contact through social media. It appears there's been a bit of a resurgence of new machines. I'd very much like a Tron, Iron Maiden or ACDC when budget allows, as I love both of those themes.

Hi Keith, welcome, I too am still registered to the old yahoo mailing group lol. there are a few Keiths about here already! I'm in Carnoustie not sure how far North East you are? Hope it's not Keith lol that could be confusing.

Did your op thunder come from the caravan park Aberdeen way? It was one of my first pins many years ago but not that one

Cheers Ronnie

Hi Ronnie.

Well it could be - I'm in Aberdeen and picked it up from a sale locally (but not from a Caravan Park).

Cheers

Welcome Keith.
I'm down in Kirkcaldy in Fife.
I have always wanted a Op Thunder. I think it is a fun game if you don't care about scoring.
I was going to ask if it was the one in Blackpool you had bought but I see it wasn't.
I hope you get it sorted. All pins deserve a second life 👍
Cheers
Mark
