If anyone's on the fence about joining on Saturday, JMAC tournaments are super fun, accessible for beginners but also with a high standard at the top for pros, huge varied collection of 20 or so games in top condition too, with a great atmosphere. Fill those last 2 spots now! :)
 
Just a quick question, what does it mean when there is "INACTIVE" next to someone's name in the matchplay player list? Does It mean they are no longer attending?
 
Had a really great day everyone. Was awesome meeting my name-sake right at the start and giving a massive hug!!! Ha ha. Thats what its all about. 😝

Big congrats to Dan Pocklington who played a flawless day!!! & Phil Stokes, Gene Aw & Dean Tillson for making the final and playing well all day.

Would love to be back one day! 😍

Been enjoying following along with this today, some great “underdog” results! Pretty dominant stuff from DPock though, no worse than 2nd through qualifying and then won the final with a game to spare. Well done!

Just got home. What an amazing day. Not only making the finals for my first time ever but had an amazing run to the final 4. Dan P was on fire. Well done.

Thanks again to @Jmac for the amazing venue you have and to @Lecari for running the tournament. Also special thanks to @David_Vi who ended up being my biggest fan.

I'm still in shock with how I played today😁

Yes, firstly great to see the likes of Dean, Dave Ashton 2 and Chris Cristoforou make the cutoff. Dave lost by the skin of his teeth to the "detective" on TWD to deny him a place in the final four. A solid upright stance and great patience make up Dave's playing style who will no doubt kick on from here. Impressive performances on Mousin Around, X-men and Eight Ball Deluxe saw Dean power into the final. Following on from an impressive run at the UKCS Dan Pocklington was standing tallest at the end of it all with dominant performances on WH20 and No Fear, he really bossed that final. A huge thanks to Jon for laying on all the food and refreshments and for Claire and David for running the matchplay and overseeing any issues with the machines. One final note, my 13 year old nephew Issac playing in his first ever tournament and having nothing but a handful of games experience coming into this. Two second place finishes, ACDC and 100M on WH20 just being pipped by Claire were personal highlights for him and no wooden spoon either. Being drawn on FG resulted in the young boy saying "I don't like that game"
 
A brilliant day as always, thanks JMAC Claire and David! Great to see lots of fresh faces too, and Dan continues to be on fire at the moment! 2000 points standing between me and the final 8 on Elton John will haunt me for a while, won't listen to Croccodile Rock again any time soon 😂

Looking forward to the next one!
 
Sounds like a great day! Hope to see some of you at the British masters. I’ll be there for the Thursday only. I hope to make the May event at @Jmac
