Just checking to see if anyone is interested....

Met a few people down at Dirty Habit in Whitley Bay over the weekend, and one this evening who hasn't played in years (but was a decent player) and we have been discussing maybe meeting up once a month or more regularly if there is demand, to get together and play some games

My initial thoughts are a flat fee for players - play all night - have a bit of craic and play the game we love - could do it at one place or different locations with different games as there are more to go out over the region over the coming weeks

If people want to get competitive then that's ok and we can increase the flat fee and winner takes the comp portion pot - or have first and or second and or third prizes

Can set up a tourney on Insider to track it all

Nothing definite but open to thoughts and ideas and will progress if there is enough interest - will be easier to promote once the displays are on location

Have agreed the fees with the management so that's a green light - just need a best day of the week and week in the month - last night was busy and a couple of new players in for the second night in a row - they are also up for it - Insider will be online this PM - thinking 8 or 12 players for the session - 3 hours - thoughts?
 
Can’t do Fri, Sat or Sun but most other evenings are fine for me- not bothered which week of the month- whatever works best for the majority. Which locations you looking to play?
 
I can maybe make it as long as Famalam duties permit. Can also supply a couple of Classics I have tombstoned if it helps.

Just played Rush in Dirty Habits at Whitley Bay- had my ass handed to me- managed 110 mill ish but didn’t have a clue what I was doing other than going for lit shots. Plays great- like it 👍🏼

Basically, it's risk and reward. The points are in the time machine modes. Prior to starting it the more records you get (preferably the same colour) the greater the score. Once the mode starts, make the lit shots.
 
There are some good shots and progressions in the time machine mode - have had a cracking game in Habita on a test game (>1B) but that took a while to play out and there were a significant amount of multiball sessions in that one
 
I think you can improve (if you think you suck) and there's a lot to learn from some of the others aside from just gameplay and rule sets - shot control and technique

Aside from the luxury of talking about pinball and not getting stick for it at home ;)

Played Rush again and tried not to start the Time Machine straight away. hit as many shots as I could to light records- found it hard to get the ball under control of the left flipper but managed 300 million something. Definitely has that one more game appeal once you get into it.
