A few Pinsiders got a glimpse of this on Sterns Facebook - then it got pulled.
Could this hint at a Tron Vault for 2020?7E069510-F784-4B38-8A66-F5BD81630FE3.jpeg

The Pinside gang have been chewing this one over for years.

There was another similar leak about 18-24months back, showing the animated series artwork, but nothing materialised.

Maybe a licensor delay thing, or just nothing.

Happy TRON owner here, would love to see a Vault, but not holding my breath & doubt it would be affordable for me either ie £4.5k for my modded machine or £6-8k for a Vault with some bling...?

I would hope they put some gear on the Vault Edition....Eli style ramps and maybe a blue DMD.
I know they can’t spec it too much due to LE owners but hey......
Yeah, It would kick start the mods into production.....

Stern can do what the **** they like (within licensor parameters)!

It can look very much like an LE, but be ‘unlimited’.

I imagine it could have some new bling side rails or topper or whatever. Brighter & more artistic playfield too. Maybe EVEN a more refined GEM shot that isn’t a total twat.

The TRON modders have been very active already too, it can’t be that far behind TAF and TZ in terms of mods available. The little arcade machine is utterly pointless but totally f’ing cool.

^^^^yeah, the arcade machine + the proper Flynn signs look really cool.
I love the trans-lites and cab art but agree the playfield could do with a bit of a spruce up.

I think there is zero call for a tron vault and defo none in the UK don’t forget that this will be £6500 for a bog standard pro and £8500 if they put some bling on it
You can buy a fully modded huo tron for 4-5k
Or a nice le for 7
The only game I can see any demand for is Metallica but it won’t sell many in the UK
Maybe tspp but I think that would be premium price due to everything on it

So...... you think this is Stern messing around?
I get what @CHRIS B PINBALLS is saying, kinda makes sense.
Makes you wonder why they post stuff then take it down.
They also mentioned Rush apparently.........
Not sure about Rush as a Pinball 😃

Standard viral marketing really. It gets people talking about Stern and the pins they want. Pulling a post generates WAY more interest and discussion online than issuing a press release!

As for theme, I'm guessing that Stern don't really give a toss about markets outside of the USA. Not sure what the numbers are, but that must account for 70-90% of sales worldwide (guess, and happy to be corrected if I'm way out). They're still way out in front, selling most of what they can make, so can't see much changing.

I think LE’s are usually split 50/50 for US/Worldwide? So surely they must care if only half of their sales are domestic. They went out of their way to redesign the machines to suit UK laws when skill posts were required, surprising really.

If they vault Tron the ramps should be readily available though.
That would be a nice silver lining.

Given Stern’s current modus operandi seems to be cost cutting I can’t see a vault Tron competing with a modded Pro, let alone pushing things forward. Game is crying out for an LCD though.
