Confirmed by the lady herself and coded, I believe, by the master - Lyman! Hopefully at Expo!

Interesting that they are doing another ‘remake’.

I thought it would be Jaws or Bond.

At NYC I heard stern had a war chest of games ready to roll to react to any miracle that deeproot launch anything...

Brian Eddy Game
John Borg game
Keith Elwin game(s)
George Gomez game

Keith said the design of his next game was done at expo last year! So maybe two Elwin games designed by the end of the year. Eddy has been working for a while on what everyone thinks is JW. Gomez will be working on something too.

It’s a cheap license and it sells like hot cakes... I personally don’t get the fascination but my wife loves the two current Elvira games.

Shame if no pro though as that means BM66 pricing:(
 
Oct 31st I believe. new game announcement soon (JW). Reckon Munsters and BKSOR aren't cutting it. Bond possibly the next Kapow game.
 
Surprised if BKSOR isn't cutting it - not surprised at the recent interest in my SS - think I had a spate of 4 messages of people offering to buy

I think earlier than that. I had a long chat with someone in the know ;)

BKSOR is moving well in the US was the feedback I got in NYC but I think stern where slow getting the game out the door - most feedback on it at NYCPC was very positive - sadly everybody here bought munsters although I note the start of the fire sale on that game is happening... (put your fingers in your ears as the pricing for that goes down fast!)

With the Code for Munsters is locked down now that Dwight is doing nothing officially on ghostbusters...

Okay now I'm excited! As usual I can't afford/warrant any NIB games but I love to drool over them 😂 I love Elvira so looking forward to seeing what Stern have done with it
 
Wish stern would sort themselves out on GB. It’s been promised for what must be 1-2 years now, and is still on the SOTU as being ‘on the list’... has been continually pushed out and out.. is beyond ridiculous... either that or it’s the most comprehensive, brilliant update ever to be released.... however I doubt that...

Back on topic - Elvira 3rd time around doesn’t really inspire me... to be fair it didn’t the first 2 times either...
 
I used to love Elvira and I’m unlikely to ever sell my SS. However she’s pretty long in the tooth now. I’m not convinced this would attract much more attention than a generic haunted house pin. Even if you consider it as a campy gothic theme hasn’t that just been done with The Munsters?

Does anyone under 30 know who she is?

I'd say under 40!

I was only vaguely aware of her back in the 90s! More a stateside pop culture icon - was she ever really on British screens much?

I'm 24 and know who she is, an absolute legend. Saying that I've only really followed her online and seen her as a guest on a few TV shows.
 
Only thing I remember her being on in the U.K. was a short lived series on bbc called “heavy metal heaven” in around 1990
 
Those of us that were into the likes of Sarah Connor and Ellen Ripley, we certainly were in the fan club for Elvira's character.

I'm not surprised they're making a third game. I just wish they would make it a touch less baudy and a touch more gorey. Some of the really old Elvira PC games had some pretty intense gore. Go full-on horror theme for a change instead of campy/family horror... or at least embrace the full B-movie horror shtick that was associated with Elvira.
 
My only exposure to Elvira was seeing her on the cover of a computer game, and I was much more familiar with Ripley and Sarah Connor etc. I probably did wait 10 minutes on dialup to save a JPEG of her to a floppy disk though.

I don't think she was particularly well known (well, parts of her were more well known)

Anyone of my vintage was massively into the Terminator and Alien films in the 80s ....... I still don't recall any of my peer group ever really mentioning Elvira ??
 
I've been obsessed with The Terminator and Aliens since I was a kid. Literally never heard of Elvira until I got into pinball!
