Why do the Stern original cool stops have these rings that come away from the stop. Replacements from Phil for Stern games don’t have them... seems odd...
Or should I be putting these back on 😂😂

Yeah same here. Just had second one go on the same machine and looks like the upper flipper is not far away too as loads of gold dust in bottom of cab!

Only happened Friday eve and was wondering why there was a gap between the coil and new end stop (used a B/W one). Been through the bin and found the old end stop but not the washer - GRRRR!!!

I was watching a video yesterday, couple of pinheads replacing the coil stops, washers, sleeves then the actual coils to eliminate the Stern Flipper buzz. Still no luck even after replacing pretty much all the parts!!!
They even formed some rubber washers between the coils stop and the coil, still no luck.
Apparently Stern say it’s normal.

Yes - especially on whitestar games. I tried the cable tie method the other day to no avail!

I’ve got it on my Luci, developed after 12 months old from NIB - just on right flipper though, very low plays- does my head in 😂

Excellent timing for this question. I literally just finished changing an end stop before seeing this thread and was wondering why they were on it. (Also why the end stop had broken so quickly)

remember and write down the date you did the flipper rebuild. Also worth reseting the flipper counts on audits if you can.
