I was so looking forward to coming to NERG this year and intended to bring Johnny to the lineup but due to a very unfortunate set of circumstances things have basically gone to ****!
Due to my recent operation on my hand that seems to have not gone to plan leaving me with little use of my left hand so I am scheduled for another op this very afternoon to try repair things and get me some feeling back in my fingers! This has meant me shelving my NERG plans and the consultant has told me my arm will be strapped for at least 2 weeks so no driving or any chance of using my hand hence no pinball!
I had several Pinfo members looking forward to meeting me some for the 1st time others for a catchup and although I should make pinfest sadly I very much doubt ill make it to NERG. But after a visit off Mike @MadNat yesterday which turned into a nice chinwag and a few games of pinball it got me thinking.
The Thoughs are why not take the opportunity to offer a little hospitality while you guys are up this neck of the woods and welcome anyone who fancies an hour or so out of their NERG schedule to come visit me here grab a coffee, cake and even beer for those inclined.
Although I can’t really show off my pinball skills or more the lack of them it will give me a chance to get to mingle and feel like I haven’t missed out too much.
These are loose plans ATM as im just gauging interest (if any) but bear in mind the slight chance I don’t wake up after my op so it might just be to bring the misses flowers and get to play some pins and eat cake anyway so its still a win win, and you don’t have to suffer my constant verbal nonsense as the missus puts it.
I haven't got the largest of houses or the biggest games room but I do have several pins that are possibly not at NERG and it will give those who haven’t played any of these to try them out if nothing else these are in no particular order:
Godzilla
TMNT
GnR JJP
AC/DC
Deadpool
Party Zone
Johnny Mnemonic
Things to note.
it wont be an all-nighter but probs a 10pm cutoff, although i do have 2 rooms should anyone be left behind.
I was thinking both days Sat and Sunday as I guess some are only up for one of those days.
Invites are to Pinfo members only and may be limited for obvious reasons.
I am about 10-15mins away from NERG by car but unfortunately can not arrange any transport.
Finally the Boss will probably lay down some rules otherwise the bouncer will kick you out (also the Boss)
Give me a DM with mobile number if interested and I can gauge interest.
