My pet hate. Rubbish end stops bally / stern SS

The left flipper on my newly acquired game started sticking. The flipper mech has been rebuilt, fairly recently too.

However I knew as soon as I looked at the mech that it would be this black end stop.



This is the third game I have bought that has had these type fitted, which seem to be prone to early failure and cause the flipper to bind to the end stop and stick up. It doesn’t happen with all these stops, but far too many!!!

I replace with these:

i've had those copper ones snap before around the screw holes,but that is used ones over 40 years old

Last ones I bought were from best of pinball in germany. small orders often come through with no duty/vat to pay

Sorted this today, end stop thing was rough on the edges so filed it smooth. This will sort it out until the next league meet when it will stick again constantly .
