Hey. I am rather new to the pinball world. I have restored a few arcades and now have the task of restoring my first pin.

I picked up this Mr Ms Pacman cab. It was all there, but has not been well loved in its life. The playfield has some wear, not terrible but not great either. The cab was really dirty, smelt bad and generally was unloved.

I am not looking to do a perfect restore I don't have the time, knowledge and space for that, but I wanted to spruce up the cab and get everything to a point where it is clean, fully working and bulletproof against any future detiroation. The idea being that if some years in the future I decide to go back to it I am working from a nice base. I hope to make it look as good as possible, but I am setting my standards at a reasonable level.

Reason for Mr and Ms Pac is that it is cheap enough to feel safe that I can't take thousands of £ of it if it goes wrong as it isn't worth much and it is also a theme that I love. It just speaks to me and I would love to have it looking clean and tidy in my games room.

ALSO - ******* If anyone has a playfield for sale please let me know.

Some pics of the cab, and now that it is primed. I don't have much space so I am unable to really remove the head which has been a right pain (taking it off is too) but so far it has been ok

Looking at the pictures, that's a very decent playfield for a Pacman so I'm surprised that you're looking for another one.

Yeah it's not terrible for sure..It had some absolutely hammered mylar on the pac display and lights that I removed somewhat successfully..it does mean though that I need to repaint black the area around the Pac maze but not thankfully the safe zone lettering as it bubbled up a bit
. I have some circular stickers the exact size of the inlays, so was gonna sand back use those as a mask and then air brush the black.

It is very dirty though so any advice on
How best to clean
How to stop/ fix mylar peel
And how best to seal / wax a play field like this is appreciated.
