Just to let people know who knew him , that John has sadly lost his fight against cancer - he quickly passed away last Saturday after been taken to hospital by ambulance . Seemingly his cancer was more advanced than he thought.
He was a great character , very funny and very kind and I called him “ our Scottish mascot “ as he usually attended every event for pinball but also the arcade scene and was always seen with a wee joint and a can of Tennants. Unfortunately his health has not been good this last few years and I hope he is now at peace in Tennants heaven . Lots of stories about him , introducing and helping people in pinball but also infuriating some with his very laid back attitude but that was Mr Bud
I always remember the video at Nerg several years back , when he stood in the line to play The matrix that o think Ade had brought and he was leaning over at all sides like a weeble wobble but never fell over - he later told me that the Matrix had got him and was pulling him in. Tne Scottish pinball scene will miss him terribly as I am sure others on here will . RIP John
