Monster Bash Help

Firstly what a fantastic game this is.

I have a couple of switch issues the main one being with Frankenstein's monster not dropping down to be a bash toy during the multiball. It says 'Check Switch 83 Frank Table Down' but I haven't got a clue what it is or what to press to see if it's working or not. The table rotates fine on start-up but not during the gameplay . . . he just remains elevated.

I'm sorry to be a pain but these older games are like a maze/mystery to me.

Also how do I collect the monsters instruments please?

You collect instruments by hitting the shots each monster has lit.
frsnkenstien uou need to get into switch test mode and test the switches that are duff.
 
All the switches in the photos are on row 3, so I would have a check to see if the wire for this row has come loose somewhere. According to manual, it's white/orange from J208-3.

Cheers mate, yeah I definitely know which are not working but physically locating them is the issue, I have no idea what they look like or where to find them. I'll call Martin because I can't tell the difference between a switch, opto or anything else on these things.
 
Thanks for the advice folks..... clearly a bit beyond my skill-set but at least I know how to get to Monsters of Rock once the machine is fixed.
 
Looking at the switches I would check all the connectors around frank and the connectors to the boards as you’ve lost a row of stuff from what I can make out on my phone.

You’ve been spoilt mate with all those lovely new spike2’s streaming in and out.

Welcome to the wonderful world of classic pins. Way back when my room was full of them there was never a day went by when I switched them on and at least one of em went Ding Ding Ding 🛎
But that’s the beauty of these problems in a way it’s a great learning curve because you have to roll ya sleeves up and get dirty.

Or just ring someone 😉

Yeah, to be honest I'm done with it. 80 mins to find a broken wire and I've had to tombstone another pin to get access and I still don't know where to connect the broken wire.

I honestly don't have the space for maintenance and can't lift the pf fully due to ceiling height.

A stark reminder of why I ditched the old games I had in favour of the new ones.

I have a bad back, a cut forehead, and I'm really grumpy......I need a remake 🤣

Well there's your white orange wire!

So here's the location

(opposite when you have the table up)

The switch is gonna look like this

Just look for a switch that doesn't have a white wire connected to it.

Likely going to be attached to the frankie mech but I don't know MB sorry (my loss)

Thanks for the research Davey, very much appreciated.

That switch is fine and is connected but the orange and white wire links lots of things. It's probably from the connection to the left pop bumper but I need to remove the legs in order to lift the pf high enough to get access.

It must be bad because I'm watching Obi Wan Kenobi instead 🤣🤣

2 offers already 😂. It's not for sale.

In all honesty I absolutely love it and I'm more inclined to have it rebuilt with a new PF than I am to sell it. At present there are 4 Bally Williams and two modern games in the house so I just need to balance it up a bit.
 
My gameplan for monster bash was to get all Frankensteins body parts then leave it and try get a few other monsters started, once I had a couple started I’d start the multi ball to complete the monsters and get the instruments.

Deadflips video on youtube off monster bash is probably one off his best.

Your probably be fine if it's rebuilt. My old STTNG is still working great with its new owner after I basically rebuilt it. I must admit I hated it for issues that it now doesn't have 😏. I feel your pain.
