So one thing on this game has annoyed me from the very first game I played, does someone know why on the right orbit they fitted a one way gate to slow the ball coming down if it’s to the left?
I just taped mine up to see how it plays and it’s much better, no annoying trickles slowing things down.
Not seen any issues yet but guessing there is a reason why they fitted it, anyone know?

It's to stop balls coming from the merlins magic kickout from going straight down the middle. The gate acts as a ball guide which will push the ball to the right and deliver it to the flippers rather than the middle. Being one way means you can still hit the right orbit without them needing to make the orbit shot tighter.

If you removed it you'd end up with a lot of drains from the merlins magic kickout

No balls going SDTM

I'm pretty sure that's why its there. Same reason you get random posts on plastics, a ball obviously got trapped during playtesting. So I can only assume when they designed MM and play tested it they had balls going SDTM so put that in to give a consistent feed. Maybe your game isn't level or you're lucky!

Can’t see how it can, mine is levelled perfectly. I played quite a few games and was never going to do that.

Maybe it's just to get the ball to hug the guide so it's a consistent feed
We just played a load of games and it’s not needed and just slows it down, well on ours anyway.
Wife was playing to test and a big 👍 up.

So if anyone has one give it a try as its an improvement, for us anyway😎

Mate sounds like that game is a complete ****ing mess. Worthless piece of ****. I mean honestly. Who’d want one with that massive floor in the design.
Shoot me a pm and I’m sure we can arrange taking it off you. Best rid of it to be fair.

Your right, it’s a massive flaw/floor. I mean who wants the ball flow stopping to a trickle for no reason😂
Only reason I haven’t sold it is that it’s my granddaughter go to pin, she’s on the ‘spectrum’ so until she’s done with it I’m stuffed.
Damn you castle!

Really used to 9ish me off when it would hit that gate and trIckle down, not anymore🤓🍻

Similar reason for the split levels at the bottom of the ramps - to control where the ball returns. It would not have been fitted for fun as every cent costs, at a different pf slope it might be essential.

Everyone is on the spectrum, that's the nature of a spectrum.

Well it’s been a few months now with it taped up and it’s better for it, you will get the odd ball coming down towards the middle but can be saved.
Game is better for it on mine and nobody has moaned about it, I hated that trickle off it. Flows nicely now.

Will cable tie it up ✅
