I’ve given up on finding a project Medieval Madness to restore, so it’s time to sell the mountain of NOS MM spares I have accumulated over the years. All these parts were sourced worldwide, and most are brand new unused.

Not looking to split them, so looking to sell the lot in one go. Maybe you have a MM needing restoration, or a dealer looking for stock, or just to keep as a spares pile! Lots of the generic stuff will fit other Williams/Bally WPC-95 machines.

There is over £4500 of spares, among the list of parts is:

· New Medieval Madness playfield from Pinball Heaven

· Original Williams gold ramps still in Williams packaging.

· 2 x complete troll assemblies

· Full set of backbox boards (These will fit most other B/W machines)

· NOS MM ASIC

· Complete set cabinet decals

· Complete castle including all parts i.e. castle gate etc.

· 2 x plastic ramp set

· Complete plastics set

· Complete Williams speaker panel including DMD

· NOS translite, complete with glass and light box

· Lockdown bar

· WPC-95 Back box (used)

· WPC-95 Cabinet (used)

· 3 x pop bumpers

· 2 x flipper assemblies complete

· Full rubber set

· Romans PDI glass

·

These are some of the main parts from memory, but there are loads more.

£2000 for everything, sorry no offers.

Silly question but what's missing to build a new one from this? Apart from miles of cables and instructions?

There are parts here id buy individually - I know more agro but maybe worth separating some of the bigger items out? I think you'll get takers for sure - I'll take the backbox and the ramps ;) if you do :)

probably about as often as complete games for refurb :) better to buy the remake - its identical to the original (cue punch up ;))

Lol I meant from a gameplay point of view but yes I'm sure that will have issues but also sure the original boards have some issues my bet is that they will be about the same in reliability terms.

Oh yeah gameplay is identical, I've had the good fortune to play an MMr and it's fantastic.

I just feel sorry for people when 2 years down the road one of the LED clusters totally burns out, or a chip goes wrong - and you have to replace that entire monstrosity of a board to fix it.

Let the punch up begin! :D

Cos this is totally the same as in the original and isn't going to cause huge problems down the road - right?

oh come off it, it's not like the underside of a pinball machine is a high-vibration, hot area where loads of black magnetised dust made of tiny iron filings will congregate, is it. and if anything happens to those surface-mount, lead-free soldered electronic parts, we can just fix em right up. honestly, next you'll be suggesting the changes were made just to save a few quid in wire.

if you go on you tube they bolted a shaker motor to the play field and ran it continuous for ages 3 shaker motors later the pcbs still worked fine they had a lot ridding on the system working right with 3 more games coming out they wasn't going to risk a crappy system

I'm not sure the risk is as great as some perceive it to be either. For example your mobile phone uses surface mount technology, and a phone is constantly being shaken around in your pocket, but we don't worry about electronic components falling off the phone's pcb. Thats just one example: the same technology will be used in manufacturing equipment that vibrates and gets bashed around far more than the underside of a pin playfield.
