Making a profile on ifpa

Just been on the ifpa website, and would like to make a profile. But every time I try and post a pic, it’s says file not allowed or too big. I’m trying on my phone though, so would it work using a pc.
Also is my player number, the registration number I need ?

The registration number is the ifpa as far as I know.

You don't register as such but just submit details, like the photo and gender.

Is there any info about the size and format of the photo ? I had a look,
"JPEG format and a 640×480 aspect ratio
1MB or less in size
Profile picture of yourself. Random objects, symbols and other funny-type photos will be rejected"

I’m guessing photos on iPhone are not jpeg maybe, I’m not very tech minded, so I’m a bit baffled

Probably 4:3 aspect ratio and will be scaled to 640x480.

Try uploading from a real computer maybe?

On iPhone:
Settings, Camera, Formats - change to ‘most compatible’
Then take a photo (landscape), email it to your self but be sure to choose ‘medium’ when asked what quality you would like.
Check email and save that photo - it’ll be a 640 x 480 jpeg that’s less than 1mb....
….but, still won’t upload on the IFPA form for some reason

Think I’ve sorted it, changed the aspect to 4.3 and changed it to jpeg on my phone, by placing it in files

Re-saved as a jpeg on my Mac & it’s worked

It'll be because your default settings for pics on your phone are too high - going over the memory limit.

Just bring the photo up on your phone and take a screenshot, edit to size and shape, then submit that.

It's bittersweet! I still get to visit it so it's not too bad.
Took a good opportunity which broken the seal...and now I'm shaking the collection up

I had the same issue doing it from my phone, loaded the photo on my Mac, exported as jpeg (even though it already was), then tried & it worked fine.

Sorted it, the file I had made was .jpeg rather than .jpg

I've submitted an update for the Flipper Beast (no photo) - just so that they know he's a tiny (proud mum moment)

If I'd got to the IFPA event in October (IIRC) he'd have been one of the six youngest IFPA-listed players in the world!!
