Hi folks, for those of you who rely on my services but don't have me on Facebook I thought I'd better upload a post on here just to inform you that Majestic Pinball Restorations is now TEMPORARILY closed until further notice due to a dip in my own health alongside a foot injury that has rendered me bed bound for coming up to 4 weeks.

I've got work pouring out of every orifice and I'm already years behind at the workshop so having to close up shop for the best part of a month with no sign of improvement anytime soon is absolutely heartbreaking. I already miss having a life but moreso I miss my business. I'll keep my socials updated but currently I have no idea when I will be fit to resume work (and pinball gatherings!)

VIVA GOTTLIEB n' all that
James

Gutted for you dude. I know how I'd feel in the same position. Let me/us know if there is anything you need or anything we can do to help with the biz or pass the time during recovery.

Thank you so much everyone, I certainly wasn't expecting so many kind messages. If anybody has any ideas on something I can do to pass the time I'm all ears, Skyrim is getting a bit boring now 😂

Sorry to hear about your health issues, and wishing you a speedy recovery.

In terms of passing the time, you could have a go at learning to play the harmonica. It's pretty easy to get started, and unlike some other instruments (e.g. the violin), it doesn't sound too bad even when you're just starting out.

If interested, get yourself a quality harmonica in the key of C, such as this one (Hohner Special 20), and check out YouTube for beginner tutorials this guy - Liam Ward has some decent intro videos. Another good intro series are these by Mitch Grainger, but there are many more as well.

Hope you're back on your feet as quickly as possible, and look forward to seeing you at a pinball event soon.

Have you tried Fallout? The earlier games were the best, same developer as Skyrim, my son has the upgraded version of Skyrim that he still goes back to.

My neighbours hate me enough as it is, I think if I started playing a harmonica I'd get fireworks through my letter box 😂 you did just unlock a strange, vague memory for me though of my grandad playing a harmonica to me when I was very small though. I used to play the saxophone before moving here but our walls are paper thin so I thought I'd better not practice anymore, I do miss it a lot but I don't need anymore enemies 😂

Fallout 4 is probably one of my favourite games, got me through a lot of the first lockdown actually so I was quite late to it. I've not given 3 much of a go yet so that's not a bad idea 😁

Every Secret of Monkey Island game in order...... fantastic way to lose track of time👍GT
This....
Or try Ron Gilbert's newest adventure "Thimbleweed Park" for some retro adventure fun.

Also as mentioned.. Fallout 4 has hours of fun along with cyberpunk 2077 or Witcher 3....... or try the Xcom games, Rimworld or Civilisation 5/6 . GWS

All the best for a speedy recovery James

I’m a massive fan of dead space, bioshock and wolfenstein series
Those got me through some bed bound illnesses in the past ( and also when not ill )

I’m playing wolfenstein 2 atm on the arcade 🙃
