*BASIC RULES*

These are the rules I have quickly come up with and an very open to change these as requested.

Keeping the machine in good clean order is the responsibility of the borrower.

Proof of residence and offline contact details should be provided / ID etc should be provided by the borrower.

Minor faults are the responsibility of the borrower.

Accidental Damage is the responsibility of the borrower

The individual terms of each machine can be worked out between the lender and the borrower

Natural wear and tear and failures, parts should be covered by the lender but could be fitted by the borrower.

Loan machines that are loaned for the purpose of restoration works - all parts will be paid for by the lender.

It is suggested that a photographic record is kept of the general condition of the machine at the point it is collected by the borrower to alleviate disputes later.

The main reason for this is so we can have a lot of fun playing machines we either couldn't afford to buy or to help out another member who doesn't have the space. Please respect others property accordingly... These are *NOT* cheap toys.

In the case of theft or serious damage not caused by natural wear and tear then all costs and repairs will be covered by the borrower.

If you are not a technical person and something goes wrong, no worries there is going to be someone local to you that will only be too glad to help you for a good mug of coffee and a sandwich, especially if the person you loaned the machine from isn't local.

Transport is the responsibility of the borrower unless otherwise arranged. Just be reasonable, offer fuel money if you are having one delivered. Use a courier if needed, there are a few that specialise in Pinballs.

Most of all use common sense and be honest.

Not sure if @RudeDogg1 will agree with that statement...!

Courtney,
Rob (alias Rob70) from Ashbourne has offered to babysit my LW3 and i have agreed. Not sure when he is going to pick it up.

Courtney
Rob Palmer is coming to pick the machine on 30.01.16
Thanks
Dom

It is a nightmare lol I can do most things but some of the electrical tracing and testing stuff confuses me. And no one local just to pop in is a pain in the ****

This is a great idea! I actually prefer EM's and early SS pinballs (probably due to my age, also they are a little easier to transport) so hope to 'babysit' a less popular machine sometime in the future.

I should have other games coming up for loan. usually games needed tweaking rather than basket cases!

sounds like my kind of project. pm me if you're interested in selling.

It's in that state as it's one of my slowly getting done projects :D No plans to sell anytime soon but you never know so will give you first dibs

@Courtney Blush can you remove Fireball from the list please. It's in 5 pieces split across 2 locations at the moment so not really suitable for being loaned out :( I was quite drunk when I posted it up for loan the other night and wasn't really thinking properly

How drunk are we talking, is it a few too many or waking up and thinking OH crap what did I do.

PS I'm showing the wife so she knows it not just me that does this kind of thing.lol

I'm unsure if this would be of any help but @Courtney Blush would it be easier to create the spreadsheet on google sheets? This is because anyone can make changes to the document themselves online once it has been shared with them via their gmail, in ways it makes the process more fluent and less "to me to you" with posting on here then updating the spreadsheet. There is no need to start again as you can upload the exisiting file from excel (if that is what you are using) to the online program itself.

I can see where you're coming from but that then moves into the trust bracket that everyone keeps honest with conditions and feedback. By having this controlled by just one person then that person has no bias at all towards other lenders/borrowers except for the 3 machines they own. But always open to suggestions and ideas to make it easier...

Here are some pics of my machines available.

Likewise, if only the cave was ready, I'd love the Xenon as it reminds me of my youth. Maybe after the summer.
Anyway, Rob's been and picked up the LW3 and sent me a pix showing it up and running in his games room. There is something really good about seeing a pinball machine that has been folded for the past 6 months back up on its feet and being played. I like it.
