For once I am not asking advice, although I may recieve some in all likelihood.
This post though, as I am still in love with LOTR, the standard 2003 version with skill posts (yes thats right, those pesky skill posts that boil the blood of normally rational 50 years olds whom have the teenagers attitudes to unfortunate drains), I have decided to upgrade the code from 10.00 to 10.02, thats the 2009 LE code.
The reason being that the 10.02 code allows for the shaker motor, that's all (50yr old teenages nodding at their screens now agreeing with more boom n bass in da house)
However, in turn this requires you to update the OS to OS8 from whatever the OS you currently have, but it won't be OS8 currently if you have the original 2003 version unless you are fortunate enough to have had a previous nut job owner.
At least you should update the code if you want to be certain everything will work after you've installed 10.02 just perfectly.
There is a secondary benefit which I never knew of before, there are flaws in any prior code regarding scoring, hacked off with myself not being able to complete the game, I have recently read the ruleset and I found out some new info. That is that the 2003 versions earlier OS version a had some minor flaws in the scoring. Some scores being big fat zero for some shots...... gasp, they knew it!!!!
They were not massive flaws, but they were present. And so, despite the ability to add a shaker being the primary reason to update to code 10.02, OS8 is another.
