LOTR LE playfield signatures.

Hi all, just a quick question which I’m sure is pretty obvious but just wanted to confirm.

Are the signatures of Gary Stern and George Gomez under the clear coat of the playfield or on top?

To me, common sense would suggest underneath the clear coat but that does not always prevail!

I think they are under the clear on the LOTR LE playfields..

It makes sense to me as they would wear off in no time if on top.
Just need to sure as getting one sent to Ron Kruzman for clear coating and he sands the top layer off!
