I'd link it but with pinside currently down it's a little difficult, adding to what Dave has already said.
There is a modder who sells a replacement Orthanc tower that lights up that you can buy bundled with a 3d light up mount doom that both look fantastic, but for sale on pinside can be bought separately or together for a discount.
There ever popular palantir eye mod, again on pinside so can't link right now - got a feeling the original creator does runs of it at times and might have stopped, but someone else is making a very similar thing now. BIG MUST this is almost like the Twilight Zone piano mod it should have been on the game factory imo. Dave already mentioned it as palantir ball.
Not much else "Really nice" and essential I can think of not already mentioned, maybe LED OCD board cos LED's in LOTR flicker like mad and look really awful without it.
To light up Barun Dur tower (back right) you can just attach a red LED strip to the inside and piggy back off the GI - looks very effective but cheap as chips!
Pinworlds lit up Orthanc tower
Pinworlds lit 3d Mt Doom
Etched left ramp plastic
Balrog lit whip
Gold ring speaker plastics
LEDOCD is a must with warm white comets
Jay's Palantir mod
Mezel mods lit ring mod (haven't got that yet)
I’ve removed quite a few from mine as it just looked cluttered so if you looking for the path of the dead and the sword mods give me a shout.
best IMO apart from my protectors that is are.
defo LED OCD board which is a must!
Palantir eye thingamy Bob - very nice addition.
I have left lots of others on mine like, light up apron, Ring Shooter rod/my shooter plate(now fitted on my hobbit) Gandalf staff, speaker lights with rings, ColourDMD and Shaker motor. Mine also has a nice topper which I considered making a little better but ive now committed to sell it so I’ve shelved Now.
I had the sword (and anti air-ball) professionally polished to a high shine, as thought it more in keeping rather than the dull steel. I also contemplated having it engraved with script.
Unfortunately it wasn't enough for me to keep it. Hated the game.
