Just noticed that one of my recently arrived cabs has got about 30 or 40 tiny holes on the front, and a few at the sides as well near the front. Looks like woodworm to me.

I've never thought or experienced the little critters in any of my machines before. What's the best way to treat it? Fortunately its in the garage, where there's only one other cab. Should I keep the wordworm cab away from the other cab? Any thing else I should think about? Or could this be woodworm damage from ages ago with none left living inside, so I don't need to worry? I don't see any wooddust on or near the cab, for example.

Thanks for any advice!

Quarantine it.
Treat with woodworm killer - paint on.
Fill the holes and sand. If live woodworm are still in it you will (eventually) see new holes.

most of the modern stuff is water based rubbish,im lucky like Alan and have a can of old stuff I inherited off one of my uncles when we cleared out his shed years ago, apparently oil based ones are the ones to go for amongst the modern ones, but I have not tried it myself

Adult word-worm beetles can fly, defo needs quarantining like Alan said - away from structural timber in your garage too.
