where would be a good place to get decent LED's for my TAF?
i've bought a set from pinball heaven and they are rubbish, well they are half rubbish.the flashers and gi ones are ok.
the coloured ones for the playfield inserts and pop bumpers are ghosting like there is no tomorrow.
no mention of this on the website.
plus i paid for the full set and got a note in the box that 7 bulbs would be forwarded to me.i'm still waiting.
i bought them just before christmas.
for someone like me who is new to pinball ownership,it doesn't make me want to keep spending there.

cheers,
shaun.

I would just contact Phil if there is a problem, he has a very good rep and I'm sure will see any problems right.

The LED's in my TAF are from PH and I don't have a problem with them.
Slight ghosting yes but that does not make things look so bad its something I have got use to.
Like whats been said either get a non ghosting rom from @Paul or dig deep and buy the non ghosting LED's.

I've not had any trub either most of mine are coin takers but I have a few of Phil's with no issues I have a tweaked rom tho

The predominant cause for Williams/Bally WPC Era pins is a mixture of a lamp matrix software driver timing issue and what appears to be an issue with the WPC ASIC.

"The Williams software designers modified the lamp matrix device driver code to work around the WPC ASIC issue and to modify the timing with how matrix is controlled. For 'most' cases this appears to have eliminated the ghosting issue. I say most because there are a number of posts where people say they still have LED ghosting issues even when they are running ROM's with the updated driver code.... I have also read posts stating that the ghosting issue is more prevalent when Rotten Dog power/driver boards are used."

Why not fix the problem at source, where the issues were firstly caused I say........

Definitey get a patched ROM from Paul. PH super brights look fantastic in my shadow and getaway after installing patched ROMs. As to anyone with ghosting problems on sterns ( that'll be all of you! ) the ghost busters from 1stop pinball completely wiped out the ghosting on my RBION, only problem is they are expensive and some colours, particularly yellow are pretty weak in brightness terms in comparison to others.

Dear Shaun

I am sorry you had a problem with your order. First thing to do is send me an email saying you hare having xyz problem. If you post on a forum its down for someone to email me and tell me, hardly the best way to resolve any issues. Its always best to email me direct phil@pinball.co.uk and I will sort any problems you may have.

The missing 455 flashers actually came in yesterday and will be posted out to you shortly.

Cheers

Phil
