what LEDs are people using at the moment, which are the best to use and where to get them,

Any help much appreciated

Using the pinballlife ablaze ghost buster frosted domes at present for bg and inserts. It has enhanced my Sinbad a lot. Also used the standard ablaze white 1 led for coloured inserts and plain inserts ( getaway HS2 - playfield is cooler using theses) Also makes the coloured inserts in my Devils Dare really pop.

4smd for GI from onestoppinball and premium 2 led superbrights non ghosting kits from pinball LED

Im toying with the idea of leding my roadshow.
What do you recommend using for the inserts?
the ones that are pcb mounted?

Pinball Daze's 4SMD's are perfect for inserts, good price too!. The single led Superbrights that Pinball Heaven and Pinball LED seem equally good, having a single larger led.

I put frosted Leds in the GI and the Backbox, usually cool white but sometimes other colours look good, personally preference really.

Avoid yellow and orange frosted leds, for some reason they don't seem to be very bright and look bad from the side. (and white 555's are more effective for purple inserts)

What he said, the best, I've tried Cointaker Pinball centre EU, but the Comet ones are the Daddy!
Same here.

I use their single 5050's and twin 2835's with an LED OCD board, therefore not the non-Ghosting types.

Used specific colours on the Spider-Man inserts and it looks really rich, but may use only warm whites on all AFM's... Not decided yet.

I always colour match with inserts although this has more effect with blues and greens, with red the difference between a red led or white seems minimal most of the time.

Thx people some great feedback, don't you get hit with a lot of duty from comet ?

Just don't put them darn 44's (250mA) on your playfield ! Throw them in the bin, but make sure there's no dry tissues in there as they'll still be hot !
