Just seen this from American Pinball

I think it’s fairly new, so I doubt anyone has tried it, but what do people think?

The description is not good, but I think I will try it out for my BBH.

Bit confused, do you need to tap into 110v for the transformer, or does it require a separate outlet?

if your after an LED upgrade for BBH I'm really pleased with the LED tube from Dave at Retro, great improvement for a few quid.

Yeah, I am not sure, if it’s run off the plug or elsewhere. The description needs to be better.

I have LED tube in there at the minute, but it’s crap. It is really dull. Maybe I will give that one a go though. Is it nice and bright?

Yeah I would say its a bit brighter than the std tube, although the light is a bit more concentrated to the middle but you can turn it a bit to chande the direction.

The colour temp is cooler, think that really helps the translite pop more, my main reason for buying was to minimise heat near expensive boards, but it looks better too.

Jeez - make your own - its a string of LEDs.

Or take a 240 feed direct into your backbox (bypass the transformer as some LED tubes will cause the transformer to blow - yes - I had one go!)

Put in an LED replacement that takes a live and neutral at one end.

Take the starter and ballast out.

Do it on all Sterns I get in now.

OR go the LED strip - you can get them in 12v or 5v. FInd a DC supply in the back box and tap into that. If you need to plug in a regulator.
